About us
We sit near the top of the bottom 1/3 of the NA server ranking. In the upcoming tournament, HoD will be a top contender in Bronze league.

In this “tier” we get a large variety of server matchups, we rarely have skill lag or queues outside of EB on reset night, large zergs are around 25-45, we never see top-tier style blobs. In the bottom 3rd of NA we experience WvW without the engine limitations seen in the higher tiers.

HoD has a nice mix of roamers, small teams, small zergs and sometimes large ones. HoD has a skilled pug base many of whom are the legacy from when HoD was #1. HoD is serious about having fun on the field and fighting to win the match, but we have zero desire to move into the upper tiers.

For WvW: HoD has a forum, server-wide TS, many WvW guilds – one sure to share your focus whether it be casual, large WvW, small-team, etc. If you are a large guild, lone wolf or a small guild, your abilities will have a direct impact on HoD every time you play. On HoD you are not just another face in the crowd in a 75-man T1 zergball.

HoD also has a strong PvE environment for those that like shinies along with their WvW.

Who HoD is looking for:
- Mature players who want to win a good fight.
- People who desire small team/small zerg play who actually want their play to be the difference between winning and losing.
- People who want to make HoD their home and join in the bronze league fighting for Denravi.
- Players who fulfill the expectation that you are in WvW to have fun.
- Good players who resonate with the “about us” stuff above.

What HoD needs:
-HoD is looking for additions to our night crew: Asia/NZ/Oz/UK/EU.
-HoD is looking for a Full BL team. We are looking for a guild/group who wants to make an impact in borderlands, either as map-dedicated or BL hoppers. Even a small/med guild which can field 10-30 players can play together without queues and without lag and make the impact of their gameplay felt in our matches every week.
-HoD is looking for a skilled and dedicated EB small-man strike-team/cap-team. EB zergs in this tier are small compared to the upper tiers so a small team who really loves EB but doesn’t want to deal with 75+ zergballs can find alot of fun here on HoD.
-HoD would welcome the addition of a EB guild team which can field a 20-man team autonomous from HoD’s pug zerg.

Is HoD right for you or your guild?
We dont offer the blobby zergball gameplay with a chance to be the #1 server in NA that many players seem to want. We have been #1 and painted all 4 maps green for weeks in T1 – we are not looking to return.

But for those looking for lower tier gameplay we offer a friendly and unique WvW community. We offer a strong contender in the bronze league. We can summarize it best with a comment from WFD guild leader on Borlis Pass during our last matchup with BP:

We have numbers, we have some skill, and we have a lot of people actively working on improving. HoD seems to have that inherent skill bred into the inner workings of the server. That comes from being much higher than BP in the past, I assume. With equal numbers… you would be a force to reckon with on the battle field. One day, I do see you dominating once again.

We are looking for players who want to be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, who want to have fun above all things, and are looking for the style of WvW gameplay offered in the bronze league.

We are a small guild, welcoming people to our server. We are active in PvE and WvW, have weekly guild missions (All but Guild Puzzle are unlocked), have our own guild Vent server in addition to a channel in the server TS. For communications when we are not online, we also have a message board. The First Ascent Into Legend is a guild in which decisions are made by the guild, each member has a voice, and that voice will be listened to when the officers make decisions. We seek those who are willing to work with others, to learn and teach, those who are mature and still know how to have a fun time. We are also active in PvE for those times when there’s a lull in the action in WvW. Hello . i’m a regular wvwer/commander in HoD and , if anyone wants to know more about our wvw experience , feel free to PM/Mail Redwithfury and i’ll do my best to answer all your questions .

Our server is NA majority and our zerg averages 40+ during prime time every night. Our SEA coverage is okayish , can’t match our NA but still able to protect our WP-ed keep against similar tiered servers and still cap enemy towers and sometimes keeps.

Been in this server for 5 months and got to know many other regular wvw players. Over time we become friends as we come online almost everyday and play alongside each other . JUST CAME BACK HOME AFTER ARMY AND I’M GIVING MY THREAD A BUMP ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP HAHAHA!

I’ve been on HoD since the beginning, and there are some really great people and guilds on here! I spend most of my time in WvW and rarely have a bad experience. Commanders are great and are treated with respect, and you really feel like you make a difference as an individual during each matchup. Like OP mentioned, HoD isn’t a “zerg everything” type of server. Whether you are a roamer, enjoy running with small groups, or want to get in on organized zerg action, there will always be something for you. The people on HoD are extremely friendly. There are always newbies asking questions in map chat, and they are answered politely (ie, not “what a n00b get out of wvw if u dont know what ur doing”). Not only in WvW, but the entire community on HoD is amazing. We love fielding big numbers on reset night, which is always a blast! Again, there are many guilds on HoD (whether they are focused on PvE, dungeons, fractals, WvW, or a mixture of everything) and you will surely find a place where you fit in. Finally, with the first ever leagues season coming up, HoD will be a strong server in the bronze league, and we hope that you become a part of our community here!
