Guild Wars 2

Seeing whats out there as been considering a change for a while, been leading since GW2 came out and mostly it’s been on Blacktide and Desolation under CIR / Eternal IRON and then INVI.

Looking for a populated server with an active community TS and a nice guild presence that actually work as a server. Would also be interested in joining an established Guild (guild must be pretty hardcore with most players spending 90-100% of their time in WvW) if you lack an EU commander for time 1600-2100 GMT +1. Don’t care if we’re the underdog but i will not be joining a server that is heavily stacked against it’s opponent.

Can lead everything from 5 man squads up to server karma trains and know most the tactics out there. Drop me a PM please.

I know our EU commanders on NSP are getting worn down, Putting in lots of hours defending against the BP and IOJ zergs. Judging from what I can see on the maps while I am at work, they seem to be doing well. Whisper Smitry and he would be able to give you a rundown on the NSP EU crew. We don’t have a public TS but do have a public Vent server.

We have overtime Oceanics/NA/small EU that skip work etc on SoS. What we lack is commanders during EU. If you are looking for a challenge come to SoS and help organize the EU timezone against greater numbers like TC or DB.

we do have actives in your time zone on Yaks Bend. This is also the time when we are in transition and most commanders are logging out, or, lately just grinding it out on and burning themselves out. You can get a good response if you provide leadership from the server and those who are on at that time.

North American Time zones pretty well covered and the ability to hand something off to work with. Various public TS channels and mumbles for use to help organize as well. check out yaksbend.com for info

edit: I guess I should add. If you are a commander here it will be your skills as a defensive organizer that will be tested. So, if you feel you are strong in that then you will probably have some great fun.

Blackgate (Tier1 NA) really looking for EU commander. Right now we have our favorite EU guilds, HB and RK running around during the timeslot. Our EU PUGs really need good EU commander. (Those guilds as well as if you’re looking forward to join one)

Recently SoR just got KISS and IRON from EU thus there are plenty of zerg from the opposition servers. Blackgate really need one EU commander to fight and help BG in tier1 NA against all the odds.

We have center Teamspeak with forum www.blackgatewvw.com. The communication between timezone SEA→EU→NA is already there, just needing someone like you who can step up and lead during EU.

Jade Sea – Not interested, fought you alot and you have a very defensive playstyle. Not my cup of tea
Tarnished Coast – Although i understand you have been facing much weaker opponents, pretty much all your last matches you have steam rolled them and at 1800 gem cost to transfer, no thank you.
Yak’s bend – I don’t fancy sitting in a tower defending for the whole time i am on, i am a very offensive commander and often on Deso when leading i can go 2 hours without ever WPing back to resupply etc so open field and assualting objectives is my speciality

I’ve moved to Piken Square for a “vacation” just to enjoy new opponents whilst deciding on a server.

NA – Mostly looking @ Blackgate so i can fight against the EU’s on SoR Also looking @ Henge of Denravi as it seems pretty balanced.

You are much welcome to guest Gunnars Hold as well. Often we have 1 or 2 maps out of 4 covered with commanders. Sometimes 3 out of 4 maps. Often we choose to have 1 max 2 commanders pr. map, so that the person commanding will get full attention and privileges. And yes, we are looking for more commanders :-)

We have a very strong community site, and are used to support commanders with siege and applauses. The “pugs” of GH generally follow commanders well.

There is also a strong communication inbetween commanders, as well as we have a guild for WvW commanders, to better organisation and communication.

Commanding on European servers is very different from commanding on NA servers, especially if you are going to play on a lower tiered server like HoD.

If you like fast paced open field fights I would not recommend lower tiers in NA.

Just because a group has a certain playstyle doesn’t mean they can’t be forced into a different style. EU has it’s fair share of siege / defensive servers yet everytime we fought them it was easy to get them into open field.

Down to HoD and Ruins of Surmia now. Spending a week getting anyone that will follow from Deso into a guild and then moving to destination server around Tuesday
