Are you a lost player looking for a new home? Perhaps a guild that’s tired of your current server community? Everyone gets burnt out, sooner or later, and they need a change of people and/or scenery.

Devona’s Rest isn’t known for being a top tier, in fact at one point our standing and community were ruined due to the migrations of large, zerg style, guilds who just wanted to face roll under dogs. It has taken a lot of time and dedication for the guilds still residing there to work with the community to bring us back from that awful mess, but we have succeeded with flying colors.

Our server is now home to many casual and hardcore guilds that take active parts in World vs World and are always in need of more enthusiastic players. Many a guild tag is seen in the various borderlands on a regular basis, with groups ranging from 5 players to 50.

We’re home to both zerg style guilds/commanders and smaller tactical teams. Regardless of your play style and want for a certain style of tactics, you’ll find a guild here to fit your needs. Are you new to World vs World? There are friendly guilds and commanders here that will teach you anything you want to learn or understand better.

So before this turns into a long winded post, if your interested in a new home or just need a break from higher tier combat then Devona’s Rest may just be the place for you. I would highly suggest finding a guild first to ensure you have friends to back you up out there as, lets face it, the transfer costs are not friendly but we know why.

This is Rufusaen Blackstone the leader of Regnum Ascalon (RegA) and I just have to say that Devona’s is a close community – we have weekly meetings between commands of various guilds and always look to work with one another. We’ve had quite a few newcomers to our server lately and it’s exciting to see them come into the mix and build chemistry with one another.

This is Moozilla the leader of [RED] (aka Spys Sappin Mah Guild Name). We are a large social guild that also enjoys some WvW from time to time. We have been on the Devona’s Rest server since day one of the game starting. The community here is great, which is one of the main reasons we love DR. Even though we are mostly a PVE guild, we can’t help but find ourselves in WvW from time to time to join up with the others to take back the maps. The WvW guilds make us feel welcomed in the good fight at hand which is making us look more closely on having more organized WvW activities for our guild.

Speaking as someone who has been on this server since the game started, I can definitely recommend Devona’s Rest for anyone who is looking for a new home.

There are also plenty of more hardcore WvW guilds to join for those that want more intense WvW action!

As a new player who has just started playing GW2 since March 2013, I find Devona’s Rest a true home with lots of active and welcoming guilds. I always find lots of action in WvW with large groups and commanders leading the battle/siege. Every Friday when the WvW servers reset, all the guild leaders team up and we get into big groups attacking different objectives. It definitely feels like all the guild leaders (at least the big guilds) work together to help Devona’s Rest players stay on top of WvW objectives. I have managed to level/rank many of my players just with WvW. I now have four level 80 characters with mostly participating in WvW events. Also one thing I have noticed in places like L.A. and WvW maps, there is always a lot of guild flags that gives you bonuses XP and Karma and etc placed all over the areas.

I also find lots of players in PvE areas for dungeons and World events or even low level areas. I never had any problems finding players to level my characters even outside of the guild or outside WvW.

For PvP portion of the game, I am not sure if Devona’s Rest has its own player base or it is mixed with other servers, but I never have any problem joining people who want to do PvP tournaments.

Playing in Devona’s Rest has become a social part of my daily life, and it feels like another world that I have been a part of for a long time.
