Interesting videos. I’m still quite a noob to gw2, so was wondering if i can join your guild even though i’m on a separate server. if not, is there anyway to transfer servers?

Hi there, we are primarily a WvW guild so if you’re in a different server, you will not be able to join us. Short of deleting characters to get a free transfer, you can purchase gems for transfer.

Hm… I’ll probably “guest” on your server first to see if i like it. i’m still downloading all the update patches since the last time I actually played the game. I bought the game a few years ago, played a couple months, then real life took over and now i’m back trying to get into the game. your server seems to be ranked #5 on the WvW charts, so i imagine i’ll need more gems to purchase a world transfer. Hm… well, i just got 84,000 more files to download from the game client… should take a couple more days … sigh…

You still cannot play in WvW on a guested server. Guesting is mostly redundant now with the megaserver system. Server “rank” does not determine transfer cost. 1800 gems baseline from ET to JQ.

Dx are a great bunch of people and very skilled in both small havoc play to group raids. Great fun and always a pleasure to come across them on the maps about the place.

Well, when I said guesting, I just wanted to get a feel of how the social aspect is in Dx. One of the most memorable gaming experiences I’ve had when starting out in MMOs is finding a group/guild of people that I got along fabulous with and cleared instances and battlegrounds together. I enjoy PVP more than PVE, and especially love PVP in epic proportions such as WvW or participating in 300+ parties raiding another faction (referencing a time when I helped coordinate massive FTA/FTH raids in WoW). Adrenaline will only carry you half the way, the other half would be carried by reliable in-game friends/guildies that just click with you, y’kno?

Btw, Rashkin, what is this megaserver system you speak of? And what is the current exchange rate of gems x money irl?

Hsiung, since the patch, in pve aspect (forgive my may be inaccurate definition), servers are now grouped together. You’ll find players from other servers in pve maps. If you’ll like to find out how Dx is as a guild in the social aspect, I’m afraid WvW bls are where you would find us in the most. We don’t or only a few of us spend much time in pve :P

If I’m right the cost to transfer may come up to 25-30 USD.

ps: currently, Dx is in a matchup where our SEA is quite empty as the matched servers do not give us fights. With that in mind please really consider carefully if you’d like to transfer still and also consider the server in your decision.

pps: pm me ingame if you’d like to pvp. we do spend time in pvp (pvping dont need a transfer)
