Welcome to the Druids of Dhuum “official” recruitment thread! We’re going to try to be really serious about this, because that’s important.
What is the purpose of the Druids of Dhuum?
Fun.
No, really. DoD is an Eredon Terrace guild filled with one sort of person: fun-loving! We are a very casual guild, and we think the goal of playing a game is to have fun. Do we want to clear dungeons easily? Of course. Do we want to be a force to be reckoned with in WvW? Absolutely! Do we want ALL the minis?! DHUUM LOVES MINIS! Oh, sorry. We definitely strive to further Eredon Terrace, but the most important thing is to have fun. So if some of us are in WvW and you want to do a dungeon, go ahead! If we won’t touch Structured PvP with a 49.5ft pole, but you like to get all up in its grill, go for it, yo!
Seriously. What do the Druids of Dhuum do?
Fun.
No, really. In all honesty, we are mainly focused on PvE and WvW. In PvE, we are dungeon-running fiends and masters of all sorts of bosses (you should see Grenth running when we show up!). We also occasionally farm/gather/explore, craft, and we enjoy experiencing the story of Tyria.
As WvW players, we mainly function as a havoc or defending group, and mostly in enemy borderlands. That being said, we join larger groups to take objectives and are happy whether we’re on TS or not, so no worries (Ha-DHUUM-a matata, you know?). Typically, we start in the corner by the Lake tower and head north from there for camps and towers, but recently we’ve become quite fond of spreading Dhuum’s influence into Hills. …I mean capping it for the glory of Eredon Terrace!
Who are the Druids of Dhuum?
DoD was started way back in Guild Wars 1, when the guild I had been in closed due to losing too many players. DoD’s founders and leaders in Guild Wars 2 are Dhuum, Turkadactyl.5308, Trafficone.5301, and Dhuum. No Grenths allowed. The Druids have also popped up in Rift as Epic Guild Name [EPIC] and in the Elder Scrolls Online (my, that was a short stay) as the Druids of Thu’um [DoT] (haha, right?).
DoD is a small guild, currently with 15+ highly active members. Dhuum is always looking for more, though!
Who should join the Druids of Dhuum
DoD is open to just about any sort of player. Because we focus mainly on PvE and WvW, new and experienced players with an interest in those areas will be in grand company, but PvPers are welcome, too. The only real requirement we have is that you have fun whenever possible. We don’t require a specific schedule, because we know that things come up. Certain gameplay styles, classes, genders, or races are not required, because we know things come up (haha, right?). Right now, we are trying to form a solid base in PvE and WvW, but if you want to help start Dhuum’s domination in PvP, have at it! Furthermore, if you’re looking to transfer to Eredon Terrace to join, let us know! We may be able to help fund the transfer fee.
Are there any other rules or requirements we should know about?
Fun.
No, really. Like I said, we don’t require a set schedule or type of gameplay, and we are very casual. Some guilds like to keep things family-friendly, and that’s great, but in DoD you don’t have to worry about what you say (plus, Trafficone talks like the proverbial sailor). Keep it friendly and fun, and we’re good.
In terms of representation, it is definitely encouraged, but not required. We especially encourage representing for a few hours at least if you activate or order an upgrade, but Dhuum will be mighty pleased if you represent all the time.
Mentioning Dhuum every other sentence is also highly encouraged, but not required. I just think it’s funny (haha, right?).
Any last words?
You can find DoD’s website at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com/. It has oodles of information and more really bad jokes so you can laugh with (at) us. If you’re interested in joining, or just want to find out more, feel free to reply, message myself or Trafficone, or join the Druids of Dhuum on our site. Also, we have a puppy.
TL;DR: Join Druids of Dhuum on Eredon Terrace (we might even pay your transfer fee!). We’re welcoming and very flexible. Best of all, it’s:
