Dungeons
Firstly are you on an NA or EU server? This is important because you can only play with people from your region.
Secondly what is it about the LFG tool that’s disappointing you? I know it confuses some people who are used to other games because it doesn’t put you into a group automatically, all it does it allow groups to advertise for more members.
If you don’t see a group offering what you want I highly recommend putting up your own advert. I’ve made the mistake several times of thinking because there’s no listings that are right for me (or none at all) that there is no one for me to group with. Then when I do try making my own listing it fills within about 15 minutes! I think, especially for casual players or 1st timers, there are a lot of people who want to join groups but are unwilling to be the one who starts it off, but when someone else takes that step they are there waiting.
I also recommend asking your guild members, even if they’re not dedicated dungeon guilds. Yes many of the individual people will come and go, but if the guild is in any way structured new people coming into it should be reasonably like-minded so you’ll still get a consistent experience. (And GW2s dungeons are not the kind of thing where it’s so difficult you need to practice regularly with the same group of people to be able to do it, even LFG groups that have never met before can be pretty confident they’ll complete it.)

I am on EU, Aurora Glade server.
Using LFG is easy but always seems like every group I join, they either take ages, or kick me before hand and I can never get round to doing a dungeons.
appreciate the reply
will try posting my own LFG and I still think a new guild will help, with dungeons and other aspects of the game
I agree with LadyLou. People on LFG groups exhibit all the worst aspects of PUGs. More times than I can count, players just banzai into the Dungeon. They try to kill everything, with no thought to what the room requires, what enemies are present, or what classes they are working with. As soon as the group fails in a room (which it often does), people start dropping out. If you ask in text chat a question about a room, or tactics, nobody answers.
I have the impression that many PUGers assume that someone else will know the Dungeon and carry them through. If that doesn’t happen, they just quit the group and look for another one.
It is possible the PUGers are assuming everyone else in the party will read their mind and support whatever tactics they have in mind for a room. Certainly the idea of touching a keyboard to type something is repugnant to them.
Heya! I run the dungeons group for the guild I’m in. We’re always looking for more people to participate – as a note, I usually run them Friday and Saturday in the evening (after 5:00 GMT). We’re flexible and friendly, and welcome newbies and vets alike.
If you like, send me an in-game mail and I’d love to toss you an invite when I run them.
