TL;DR: My friends talked me into getting this game, now I’ve played 150 hours all by myself, help!
Dirty facts first: I’m nearly 26 years old, female, student and noob galore, UTC+1 timezone. Recently bought HoT but haven’t checked out the content… yet. Been playing PvE exclusively, but I might be branching out some day, not sure. Currently on Underworld but would be willing to change home servers if necessary. I’m OK with voice chat but may not talk much due to English being my second language. I plan to spend about 2-3 evenings/week online, but that may fluctuate one way or the other depending on my RL (which in doubt comes first… sorry).
Playing style: I want to have fun, not to be a 100% professional, although I try to avoid obvious nonsense. But I’m not big on minmaxing and don’t want to be forced to run the latest uber-build if it’s totally not my style.
On the other hand, I used to play tactical FPS, so I’m acquainted with the concept of getting orders, having team roles/tactics and working together. I actually like to put some effort in what I do, but I’m not taking it deadly serious.
All my hours were spent on a thief, very recently I’ve also started a guardian. No impressive gear etc yet and no experience with dungeons/fractals.
About guild life… I only have two things that are very important to me, so please don’t skip:
- I have very radical opinions on not having radical opinions, no matter the end of the spectrum. So if a lot of guild chat involves political ranting or someone likes to fly in a rage about whatever issue… NOPE. Do not want.
- I’m looking for an “adults only” guild. While I don’t rage/insult others and am fairly mature (horrible puns notwithstanding), I’m used to an environment that can handle occasional mentions of beer/very minor cursing if I fail horribly, stuff like that. So I’m kinda not family-friendly.
Other than that I’m actually not really looking for something specific. Well, maybe I’d rather be in a medium sized guild where new names don’t go under completely instead of a huge one. But I don’t expect much from you in terms of scheduled events and all that. It’s cool if you do organize regular events and have a site, but if not, well, whatever. I just don’t want to be another name that no one knows or ever talks to. Representing is no problem since I’m not active in other guilds.
