Cloud of Sparrows [CoS] is a small, friendly guild based on the Seafarer’s Rest server. Our mission as members of Cloud of Sparrows is to help the new and veteran players to Guild Wars 2 and share the adventure of going through the story of the game and find a small friendly place they can call home.
We like the comfort of having the friendly environment, therefore we have a membership cap of 50 members split in two types: 45 official members and 5 guests. At the moment, we have open spots for new members so here I am spamming GW2’s forums. :P
Cloud of Sparrows is a guild that values its members and aims to create the environment that many of us would like to call “home”. Our goal is to have a friendly place where you can relax and have a good chat with friends after a long day at work or school. We do dungeons, including fractals, map exploration, group leveling and some PvP and WvW, though the general base of our members is focused on PvE.
In Cloud of Sparrows, we are keen on the idea of pure democracy – every member in the guild has the right to vote on changes, suggestions and feedback by the rest of the members. Every member has the absolute right and is encouraged to state personal views on different guild matters.
Last, but not least, I’d like to point out that constant representation, unless spoken to me or an officer otherwise, would be greatly appreciated. We also won’t be used as a looking for group guild and this is strongly discouraged. We don’t want to force anyone to represent, neither are we looking for conflicts, it’s your own decision at the end of the day, but you representing the guild and spreading the word around for us is what will help us grow together.
What we have to offer:
- Small but very friendly, family-like environment where you can almost always (not in 5AM for sure) find people who are willing to help you with whatever you need;
- Very high knowledge in dungeons and fractals;
- Willingness to teach new players the given profession builds, dungeons and fractals;
- Guild runs in dungeons, whether story or explorable mode, high-level fractals, boss hunts, map completion, story quests;
- Website and private TeamSpeak server for constant communication with guild mates;
- Guild missions & events;
- Daily dungeons and fractals groups;
- Guild Hall, in the face of Lost Precipice, & Guild Scribe
What we’re looking for:
- Friendly, open minded, outgoing and mature people who are ready to work towards and dedicate their time to helping other players and building the guild;
Our short list of requirements:
- Our very general requirement is that you will be nice towards the rest of the members. Drama in our guild is not tolerated and is to be dealt with immediately.
- Be familiar and agreed to keep within the boundaries of our Code of Conduct (link to it posted below).
- Activity and representation – we don’t mind how much time you spend online, it’s your time and real life is always far more important than a video game.
- However we’d be happy if you keep your representation at all times – your representation will spread the word about your guild and contribute towards it. Exceptions are always made if raised as a point during the joining process.
- If the membership cap is reached and we have suitable applicants, we will be forced to remove any players that haven’t been representing or have been inactive in the last few weeks. No hard feelings will be held and you’ll be always more than welcome to come back.
