Guild Wars 2

Will keep this short as I am not very good at these types of posts. As the title states, we are a couple looking for a new home within the GW2 world, myself being very new to the game but having played GW1 for a few years and my girlfriend who has previously played top level content here in GW2, mostly WvW.

We have bounced around a few mmo’s since quitting WoW but never found anything that has kept us interested long enough, eventually she managed to talk me into purchasing GW2 and here we are. If I judge what I’m searching for on the basis of GW1 then ideally I’d be after a home that can offer a healthy mix of PvX without the hardcore element. I like to log on and do what I want before settling down to guild events however WvW does interest me alot. The same would apply to the girlfriend but she will likely focus more on PvP.

What we would love is a welcoming and understanding guild that can help guide us in the game, show us the world of PvP/WvW and maybe offer some handy tips etc. A place where we can freely log onto voice comms and get to know the members, somewhere that cliques do not push away new member/players. An English speaking guild with plenty of member activity, helpful community and somewhere for us to call home for many years.

It may be very hopeful to fulfill these wishes but we have been occasionally surprised at some communities and we’re sure there is the perfect home out there somewhere for us. We will check back here daily but for now we have little alts on Aurora Glade where I am slowly understanding the game, we are ofcourse ready to transfer at any time as we have no main characters. We are an hybrid PvX guild, but we mostly focus on PvE. Where are a guild where you can make new friends and enjoy the game with other players. We wanted to create a guild that is right for everyone and as well to let them be themselves.

We have the hardcore atmosphere for those hardcore players but as well a casual feel for casual players too. We are also a cross-server guild, so everyone from any server can join us. We’ll have other members guest on our server or we’ll guest on theirs for fun.

What We Do:

- All Dungeons: We do all dungeons story & exp.
- Fractals: We do nightly fractals.
- sPvP: We have teams for those hardcore PvPers.
- WvW: We do nightly WvW runs.
- Personal Story: We team up with members on personal story
- Living Story: We do every living story.
- Leveling: We group up with our lower levels, often 2-3 parties and just level together.

Our guild, Pandion Knights [PK], is always keeping an eye out for new members and I think we might be a good fit for what you’re looking for

A quick summary:
- We’re a fun and ‘casual’ medium-sized PvX guild on Seafarer’s Rest. (Casual here meaning we impose no restriction on how/when you play – we have members ranging from people who play once or twice a month to people with multiple legendaries).
- We host biweekly guild missions, dungeon and fractal runs, and weekly organised WvW and PvP nights (we currently have a private guild PvP arena) amongst other things! Our events tend to start 7pm or 8pm BST.

Carrick, I can recommend DR to you if you are considering a move back to an NA server (and there are a bunch of medium sized guilds any one of which could meet your requirements). There is one big recommendation I can give to you though regardless of where you think about going and that is to check out the servers rank history on http://mos.millenium.org there is generally a reason why a server would have recently dropped ranks, and servers on the decline are not usually happy places.

Thought we would update this post as we have been busy levelling recently, part of a guild residing on Searfarer’s Rest.

However we do not find the guild as active as we were led to believe, majority of members are friendly and helpful but outside of the 2 weekly events we find ourselves pushed away. So we are still very much looking for an all round guild that offers plenty of group activities for all levels, we are in the process of levelling a Necro and Mesmer and aim to be involved in lots of WvW and roaming.

It would be awesome for us to stay on Seafarer’s Rest but we understand that some fantastic guilds are out there on other servers. We could be convinced to move for the right guild. There’s even a possibility to move to an NA server, this however would be a last resort due to the large time difference.

So to clarify what we would love from a guild:

Lots of group activity in both PvE/PvP
Active voice comms
Veterans to maybe introduce us to sPvP/tPvP
Dungeons, roaming, eotm etc
No late night finishes
EU servers only, English speaking.

As the introduction says, we’re a small guild on the SFR server. I’d like you to know that we have a small number of people participating in WvW and PvP but I believe this could increase with a small effort on both sides.

To elaborate abit more on the option to move to an NA server, it would really have to be a guild that does events during the day otherwise the time difference would be too much. The best bet is to just reply here or contact 1 of us, in the meantime we are in a small guild with some very nice people but understandably we need to give it time until we know if it’s the guild for us or not.

This simply means we are still open to contact from other guilds that match our criteria

We are still open to chatting with guilds who can offer us what we have listed in the OP. An advantage would be a server with a welcoming atmosphere to new players in WvW, also guild sPvP would be great. I’m online most of the night so feel free to add me for a friendly chat
