Guild Wars 2

Hello me and a few friends are looking to join or start a WvW guild but we are looking for a europe server which isn’t the winning side or the looser side we are looking for a server with a medium tier like 5 or something can someone give me some advice for which server to go to help out on the WvW scene? thank you.

What sort of time do you play? Gunnars is probably best choice, competitive in fights, stable around tier 5, decent community and not full.

Far Shivers maybe also decent, Surmia if you want to go lower down the tiers (but volatile population)

I recommend GH as well.

Thank you everyone who suggesting GH, but we are now really balanced and expect some night coverage, we don’t need more transfers, and I don’t know what success you will have to start a guild from zero here, as majority of GH WvW players are already in WvW focused guilds who organize either open mic events or run tagless.

My suggestion, if you want to help a server go Underworld, shame to see once glorious server to fall like that. In ’’bronze’’ league, you can go RoF or something like that.

ruins of surmia might be a good place for you at the moment were in between silver and bronze league but trying to build server up more with some more morning coverage we should be a stable silver server at the moment we are top bronze and would steam roll everything there wich is no fun so were trying to get up

Depends on what time zone you play in, Gunnar’s has an awesome comunity, and no ques(someting we would like to keep :P) But yea forming a guild here will be hard cuz most of the players we have in wvw are already in wvw guilds or roamers. If you plan on joining a wvw guild however you can guest to Gh and ask for some guild representatives and see if they are recruiting, if you do so i’m sure you wont be mistaken cuz the guilds on Gunnar’s have some of the nicest people i have met.

I noticed in your advertisement you didn’t say what scale of combat you like, whether you focus on objectives or roaming etc. This is one of the most important things that a guild will consider when looking at you as an applicant, and also one of the things that you need to think about when choosing a guild/server.

Since match-ups are random, servers that aren’t at the top or the bottom of the ranking (http://mos.millenium.org/eu/matchups/) don’t win or lose consistently from week to week. However, the tier (where the server is grouped in terms of ranking) does impact your play experience in terms of what kind of numbers you will encounter. At the top tiers there are large numbers and action at all times, but little opportunity for small-scale encounters. At the bottom tiers you will have empty or nearly empty maps for certain times of day. If you only play during peak hours this may not be a problem.

Once you have some servers in mind, I would recommend looking up their community websites on the list stickied in this forum. There will probably be at least one community WvW guild on that server that is oriented towards newer players, so if you are relatively new to WvW in GW2 I would recommend joining one of these guilds first to learn the ropes. Once you’ve gotten to know more people on your server, you’ll begin to recognize the guilds and will be able to think about moving on to a more competitive guild with the kind of playstyle you’re looking for.

Depends on your timing. Far Shiverpeaks is stacked with primetime coverage and no queues so, we want to keep it that way. If NA/Oceanic, always welcome !

I like doing all types of things in WvW if it is WvW i am all over it can people tell me some guilds on different servers and GH which are hardcore WvW guilds. ?

Why? You and few friends really wan to join servers where usual number in zerg is 30-40?
Servers where you dont find fights unless you join your server zerg?

Check Ring of Fire and you would be surprised how fun fights can be on “lower tier” servers.

We in Underworld need all the help we can get since basicly all WvW guilds (the big ones) just left the server.
If you have already some base members for your guild here you will get notice pretty fast Imo since, as I said, not much WvW guilds left

We don’t need european primetime guilds atm as we roll in the primetime, but if we get more NA/Oceanic timezone players we will get really, really strong.

If european you should consider Underworld! As someone elde said, it is sad to see a such good server fall. They have really high population of PvE players, so if you manage to create a guild there you will probably moyivate more people into WuvWuv.
