As someone who has been on FA since the earliest possible moment I know what kind of tight and efficient group the server is. We have guilds for all play styles. The community has always been friendly and welcoming and is always active for roamers and those in their own guilds. We have seen tremendous highs and some not so pleasant lows but we have always maintained a sense of quality and a fierce atmosphere of competition no matter what we face.

If you feel that you’re the type of player who wants diverse fights and a server that never has given up on itself, with extremely loyal players who will reciprocate your feeling of aggression towards any server we face then FA is the home for you. FA is a great community that’s very welcoming to new players and old. Despite losing a few of our guilds before seasons, we still have a strong core of active, competitive guilds, all of whom know each other and coordinate amongst themselves. Even when said guilds rally, they tend to rally in an open fashion, welcoming non-guild militia to join in and have a good time laughing it up on TeamSpeak. Our TS itself is a monument to the FA community, with T2-level total numbers of users and activity. Within this community, you’re guaranteed to find a home that is encouraging and welcoming. Been on FA since beta and I’ve never considered moving anywhere else. I’ve also run with nearly every guild here at one time or another and enjoyed it all. This is the place you wanna be, basically.

I’ve been on FA since launch and have no intention of ever leaving. I’d recommend this server to anyone that wants a positive gaming experience with great people and teamwork.

I may sound a bit biased but I cannot think of anything negative to say.

I’ve been on Fort Aspenwood since release, and though some of my good friends have come and gone, I’ve never had the consideration of switching servers, not even once. We have a great WvW community that I feel right at home and we always put up great fights. We’re pretty coordinated and always looking out for each other.

Fort Aspenwood was my favourite server to be on n_n Great fights and a nice atmosphere !

FA best server ever, the TS server is amazing fun to hang out in. It feels like there aren’t guilds on FA, but that the server is one giant guild. After a week here you’ll jump into BLs and you see good people you’ve run with before.

Great fights and great server

I’ve been a resident of Fort Aspenwood since shortly after launch, and I can attest to the experience the above posters have had. I’ve seen refreshingly good attitudes, very quick response times to help save key objectives, and generally skilled play from even militia-based groups. I’ve been a part of multiple keep defenses that had one server’s group thrown at us, followed by the other when the first wipes, followed immediately by the first group that was thrown at us, and we still hung in there. I’ve run into SMC thinking “oh boy, that’s a lot of red names on our circle”, only to watch FA pick them apart and eventually win the day. Combined with some really considerate actions commanders have had towards non-guildies, as well as the calm attitudes the commanders have on TeamSpeak while still being very organized and purposeful, I haven’t ever considered the possibility of transferring.

Additionally, FA offers less hardcore guild options for those who might not have the time, but still want to be part of a group that wants to go out and do work. For example, the guild I’m co-leading, LIFE, organizes WvW raids two nights a week to go out and get our slay on. Even if you’re a busy body who can’t get out into WvW as much as you might like, there is still very likely a guild you can call home here on FA.

I came over to Fort Aspenwood last year during the first IOJ exodus and the community is fabulous! Team Speak is always entertaining and when it comes down to business, the commanders and players know what to do. We respect each guild and help one another out because we consider everyone as family. When we get into battle, we fight hard and we don’t quit.

We also have one of the largest charr guilds in the world of Tyria. [TLC] is a growing all charr guild with 48 members but we need more core members to do a good successful rally and GvG during NA prime. The guild is commanded by the famous commander named Chaba. Sure she’s a woman and a lot of people say that woman are only good for washing dishes, making dinner, and doing the laundry, but when she gets into battle, I would not want to be near her if I was the enemy haha She knows how to command ;3

We’re a serious server when we get into wuvwuv but luckily there’s a few including me who makes things interesting in map chat and in TS. My charrcromancer is of course the Legendary Pink Pantied Charr of FA so I gotta keep things interesting

Right now we need more guilds during OCX. Why you ask? Besides from not having a lot of players at this time of night anymore, I do know that we have a lot of Aussies rally up during OCX and omfg the accents are so dam sexy. We had a guild that rallied up during OCX and besides the commander being a sexy charr, his accent was so mesmerizing that I had to join the guild <3

The real fact of the matter is FA has balls of steel. The core of this server has been here since long before AoE had a cap. We’ve dealt with bandwagon after bandwagon, outnumbered fights in all timezones, guilds coming for greener pastures and leaving when they realized our pastures have been burned by the fires of persistent war, and then returning because they realize the quality of your time in WvW isn’t about the score or the PPT: it’s about the person running next to you. FA is just that, quality. We have some of the most eclectic players in the game, ppt-savvy but vicious openfielders.
I’m SOOOOO excited to see us get our chance to take back our place as the gatekeeper of tier2 after leagues. We have the experience and organization to do it, what we need is you! We have amazing guilds, amazing fighters, and amazing leadership. Join us if you want to be amazing too :p

FA has some great guilds, and hands down the best militia population. It’s a stable server. Some folks have left, many have come back. FA’s got everything – fun PVE guilds that do weekly guild missions, GvG guilds, WvW guilds, havoc groups, and reasonable coverage.

If you’re tired of T1 skill lag blobs or low population servers, come to FA- always some good fights to be had. If you’re new and want to get into WvW, come to FA!

Its not easy being on fa sometimes, ive seen guilds come and go, but ultimately fa has never given up <3 kudos to the tight knit group of wvw players in fa.
After a week or so of wvw you’ll recognise most people in wvw =) we’re friendly and willing to help, we dont have rules that say you cant follow us just because you’re not in the guild, ultimately like someone said up there, we’re like one big guild with good communication and always willing to help.
