Tipsy is completely correct. Gandara will welcome dedicated Guild Groups with open arms and will love to have new groups with us. I was just letting the individuals out there know that we have a great 1st home and launching pad for them and they would not be coming in cold without a place to call Home

Gandara also is a fun server for WvW events. We just had our 3rd Asura only WvW night.

It was a lot of laughs. I hope the 0 transfer cost will help WvWers find a home with us.
Just like we earned 2nd in silver last time we would like to push for the top of silver league again.

When I just started to play this game, I’ve been on the other server for a week or so but moved to Gandara for some reason (free transfer). It remains unknown to me but I have feeling this just had to happen..
I must say I am very pleased with the decision I’ve made.
Gandara is full of kind, fun and helpful people. Community is awesome, everything is awesome.. our WvW.. is awesome
As a PvE and WvW oriented player I can vouche that Gandara often gets 100% of WvW map control (either Gandara Borderlands or Eternal).

I’m glad we moved to Gandara. I made lots of new friends and we always try to have a laugh while playing. The cooperation between guilds and commanders is good and we all try to help new players when they join wvw.
So if you are searching for a new “home” don’t hesitate and join Gandara
Cilag, I think that was the first day I followed while you were commanding. Got to be quite late in Canada

Sure sounds like an interesting server to go to for WvW. Since i prefere international servers this would be my favorite..that is…if it would still be at a free transfer rank:D

Gandara has a great, international community that makes me proud to be part of. It definitely is the server I would recommend transferring to if you are looking to have an enjoyable time in the game.

I’m going to respond because my first steps in WvW were guided by the hands of some of our awesome Infantry Commanders. (btw, we try to avoid using the word “pug” because of the negative connotations it has in PvE and the negative light it might project to PvE players stepping into WvW for the first time – We want to be inviting, not elitist).
Our Infantry Commanders are great! Most of them lead fast hard-hitting guild groups but will Tag up often to lead our infantry too and we have some dedicated Infantry Commanders who are simply fantastic. They are experienced and knowledgeable and most of them will be teaching (explaining tactics and play) when they lead too, which makes for very effective infantry groups being fielded by Gandara. I must say our infantry groups are usually a cut above the enemy servers’ and we can usually take on even enemy guild groups and much larger zergs and win.
Because of this ongoing teaching, I find that our infantry is also completely capable of “leading itself”. Sometimes I have noticed our infantry looking after the Home Borderland on it’s own and a Commander will only tag up if a concerted push is needed.
Our scouting reports are posted into Map chat so that everyone on the map can keep up with whats going on, so technically you wont “need” TS. It does help to have TS though when a Commander is leading, because it’s easier for them to verbally give instructions and information, but it is by no means “required”. You don’t need to have a mike, just be able to hear what is being said, for example with Infantry groups it helps to hear when and where water fields, statics or veils are being called or which way to turn after exiting a choke point – All quite doable by sticking to the commander like a flea though!
So if you are looking for play time where you can just join up with the map Commander for the limited time you have, you will usually find one to join and enjoy the fun… or just roam about solo and irritate the hell out of our enemies!

I am based in Australia, so basically GMT+11:00.
Was wondering if there is a good presence on the server during the GMT 9am time? Me and my mates play both PvE and WvW and are thinking of leaving our server cos both are in the decline.
looking to transfer cos of this post, but was checking out the PvE yesterday, there wasnt many people around.
Cant guest WvW so i have no idea.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated

It is quite funny to see how some neutral terms become negative, isn’kitten And just to let you know – Im quite far away from the beginner anyways – after they finally implement shared WXP I expect to be around 400-600.I played from the very first hours of open beta, I have 16 × 80 (all professions x 2), most of them wvw tailored with different builds (few tanks, few roamers, few support, few crazy zerkers) so I know a it I guess :-)

I’m delighted to hear that. On the low ranked servers it happens quite often that there is manpower, but there’s nobody to lead them

Well, IMHO, except for timing, shouting for particular fields, motivating and implementing some awkward tactics after playing for a while it’s really easy to read what’s going on and it’s really not a rocket science :-) Especially with a bit of knowledge and experience, common sense and a bit of reflexes :-)

Well, having 3 months old son around cuts my time for GW2 significantly as well as prevents me from using any headphones :-) But no worries, I quite often manage to survive the heat of a battle with wvw guild around me to be one of the last man downed, so I hope I can do my job well enough nevertheless :-)
Oh, and by the way, my wife comes with me in the package :-) But she has “only”
8×80 lvl chars :-)
