Guild Wars 2

Hello everyone, I’ll be scouring the forums for the next day or so to see if I find any guilds that might be what we’re looking for, but I thought I’d also put out a thread in case anyone thinks we might fit in…

There is a small group of us on Tarnished Coast (3-7 people) that are coming back for the XXth time, super excited for the expansion. We played for about a year after release before taking a break and playing FFXIV when it launched. We came back here and there to check out changes but haven’t stayed (except for one of us) for any length of time. We’d like to give this expansion a good go like we did at launch as we are loving the game again.

Our group… is different. There are 7 of us total, some play a lot (2 of us), some play after work (3 of us), and the others play when they can, sometimes disappearing for a month or so. We’re grumpy (they are, I’m not, which is why I’m posting :P), blunt, and like to have fun. We speak our minds, curse a lot, joke a lot, and sometimes get drunk. When we want to, we’re serious players that will know the game inside and out, play kitten well and be incredibly productive.

I just want a home for us. We have a small guild we started when the game launched but I’d like somewhere I can be social. I mean we can be social. >.> I would love to experience everything in this game from the lore to WvW / PvP to dungeons and raiding.

TLDR: 7ish of us are looking for a guild to head straight into HoT and relearn the bits of the game we’ve missed over the past year. We have a bit of everything and to the right guild we’ll give our all from the basics to WvW/PvP to dungeons and raiding.

Our group is called Tonic. There are 20 of us left. Many of us are returning from a 1 year break either for life stuff or other games. We’re all really excited for HoT!

We are a 21+ guild and drinking? Well, we’re named after Gin & Tonic so We used to do power/happy hours in TS3. That hasn’t happened in a while but I suppose they could return? Swearing and other adult subject matter is definitely included in our culture though being hateful isn’t tolerated.

No mandatory events. We don’t care how casual or hardcore people are. We like to get kitten done and have fun though.

We’ve been together since 2012 and have everything unlocked and ready for Friday (including 25 Heroes Banners woooo!)

Man, you sound so perfect for AI except for that TC bit. But, if you’re good with playing your WvW on Tarnished Coast while we play ours down in the slums of Sorrows Furnace then I’d say we’d be a pretty good match.

Hello Anowyyn.2304! I think we’d be a strong fit if you’re interested in a more PvE focused guild. We have players that do sPvP quite often, but WvW isn’t really something we do at the moment (primarily due to the lack of a strong WvW commander). We’re mostly on Jade Quarry, so transferring would likely be out of the question as well (due to the impossibility of finding JQ actually open).

We’re a mature guild, I think our youngest member is ~19, and we didn’t even realize how young he was until he let it slip in TS. I’d guess that we average out to about 25 as far as age goes, I obviously don’t keep a tally lol. We average about 35-45 people online most nights (surely to go up tomorrow with HoT, we have a large chunk of members who pop on periodically lately just to say hi, waiting for the expansion), with around 15+ in TS around the same times.

We can get rather vulgar at times, very blunt, and no strangers to just sitting around bullkittenting and having a good time. Last night we were joking about taking shots every time the GW servers crash tomorrow, we decided against it because we didn’t want to get anyone killed, but we’re definitely down for some drunken gaming is what I’m getting at.
