Hey guys! Tired of being harassed simply for not following what’s not “meta”? What about winding down from adventuring in Tyria with lively social interactions? Want to learn a new profession but don’t know how to start or where to begin? [DrkE] Darkmoon Eidolons just might be the guild for you!

[DrkE] has been around for a good year. We started off as a private guild, but then opened up to the public with one main goal in mind: to create a social, supportive, friendly environment for our guild members. At heart, we are a casual and laid back family guild, however, we can be competitive when it counts!

Good morning, afternoon, or evening! I’m Ahkaskar, guild leader of The Gathering Storm [STRM].

We’re a small Henge of Denravi-based guild that does a little of everything, but primarily PvE. Most of our events happen on weekends, when we’ll do dungeons for completion, tokens or money. Otherwise, we’ll usually be out in the world helping out wherever we can!

While The Gathering Storm isn’t an RP guild, we’re the in-game representation of the fanon Storm warband, and most of us theme our characters to that end. We don’t require our members to use the Storm ‘band name though, nor do they have to be Charr. We also don’t require representation, but we would prefer to find players who are looking for a primary guild they will represent.

We are also not advertising as openly recruiting, but we are looking for more players to join us. What we’re looking for is like-minded, well-mannered players who see themselves playing for a long time to come, and maybe just need someone to experience the game with. The Soul Guard [SG] is a WvW oriented PvX guild on the Blackgate world. Are a small to medium sized guild that runs havoc missions in the Mist War and take the fight to elder dragons in our spare time. This guild was made only a short time ago, we started because a small group of friends decided they’ve had it with the large guild issues and drama and moving servers on us. We wanted to have our social fun guild back. So This time we decided to make it ourselves. We are a small scale social guild focused on the people within the guild.

We are PVX because we love this game and even though we’re all working adults we spend our spare hours playing this game because we love it. We currently are only a small group, but we are open to players new and old. We’re happy to teach, or learn from other players. What is most important is keeping the tight knit group dynamic of the guild going forward.

We are all English speakers on the NA servers. While we currently a multi server guild. we’re actually in the middle of deciding if we want to join forces in a new server for the times we’d like to do WvW. Membership, is open to all servers regardless of our choice, 90% of the content is multi server available.

Mainly active in the late hours of PST, from 7 pm to 3 am PST. You might be wondering about the guild name, the story came about from our guild fractal runs, the push to 50 was hard and even harder when we kept rolling fire shaman or some other mishap would happen almost intentionally among guild members. We like to have fun, so instead of getting frustrated with setbacks or hard fractal runs we started calling out invisible debuffs we triggered during the fractals. (debuffs in fractals are called instabilities). You could say our motto is, we’ll have fun with hard content… one way or another. To that end we will do almost anything our guild members are interested in doing, but I doubt you’ll see us get super serious about the game. (cept maybe those pvp leagues, several members want those legendary wings)

So running a gw2 guild might be new to us, but we’ve run other guilds and we’re experienced veterans at most of the games content, I hope that you’ll consider us as a trial, the most important thing for us is that our guild members get along and have a good time.

Divine Knights of Balthazar is a friendly/active Guild and was created on September 2014.

The almighty turtles is a cheesy burger loving group of people that generally slack around the beaches and caves of Tyria, while we don’t find a Guild Hall of our own.

Descendants of Honor [DH] was created in Guild Wars on January 8th, 2011. We have a hard-working and dedicated membership with a focus on camaraderie, friendship, and integrity. While our primary focus in Guild Wars 2 is PvE, we enjoy all aspects of the game. Descendants of Honor aspires to instill trust and loyalty in its membership while maintaining a sense of fun and enthusiasm for the game. While individual members bring diverse aspirations to the guild there is a group of core values which we all share: acting honorably, being true to our word, kind to others, loyal to each other and passionately pursuing our own goals while helping others to obtain theirs. This is the foundation upon which Descendants of Honor is built.

• We are primarily on Stormbluff Isle, but with megaserver will accept non-WvW members from any NA server.

• The core of our guild plays in NA prime evening hours, but we have an international membership and players on at varying hours. We have approximately 200 members, which may jump up with returning players at the expansion launch.

• We are predominantly 18+, but operate more on a maturity level than a strict age limit. We have accepted younger family members of valued guildies into the guild with some restrictions and the understanding that their relative is responsible for helping their understanding of issues and following the rules, but this is done on a case by case basis.

• We have people from many different backgrounds and countries, varying ages, abilities and amount of time to play. Once you are a member we ask that out of courtesy you notify us if you are going to be away for 3+ weeks or we may remove you for inactivity.

• We don’t currently have rep rules, but will look at the issues of participation in some context with the guild once HoT launches and we have the ability to talk in guild chat while not representing.

• Because we wish to maintain our guild atmosphere and take our time to get to know new members and for them to get to know us, we are only going to accept recruits up to approximately 5% of the guild size at any given time. Applicants will have to hang out with leadership or long time members a while to see if you might be a good personality fit, and then stay in our Squire rank about a month to make sure this will work out for everyone.

• As GW2 has aged we have become more laid back in how we play together. We have a set mission time on Saturday nights, but only events that require organizing, such as future raids, or are out of the ordinary get a scheduled time. Guild members get together and do things every day, but casually based on what they wish to do or have time for.

Hey! I’m from Full Resolve [FuR]. We’re a social, intentionally medium-small social guild based mostly on building a strong community. We do regularly run dungeons, fractals, guild missions and spvp, but our primary purpose is our community. We’re on NA (no particular server), and mostly active during American time zone evenings/weekends.

There are two major points that set us apart from most other casual/social guilds:

• We don’t regularly use voice chat (that is, teamspeak and so on). Inevitably, some people are not able or willing to participate in such, and we feel that this inevitably divides a community. Instead, we prefer to socialize and strategize with in-game chat wherever possible.
• We don’t really care very much about the meta, or doing things in the most efficient way possible. Instead, we focus on simply playing the game. We don’t expect our members to limit themselves to meta builds, and we don’t normally run dungeons in a speedrun style. This is not to say you cannot run a meta build and stack and glitch your way through a dungeon while wearing our tag, but that we are a safe haven for people who don’t want to do that.

Ever feel like you’re invisible? Or that you’re surrounded by people that just don’t understand or accept you? The Phoenix Effect [RISE] is an all-inclusive community that focuses on friendships, not numbers, and is shaped by people who felt that same way elsewhere. All walks of life are welcomed in [RISE], and that goes for anyone regardless of race, religion, sexuality, gender, nationality, etc (we’re a LGBTQ+ friendly guild!). Each individual is given the ability to be themselves with us and they are accepted for who they are and treated with the respect they deserve. We have rules in place to protect members from excessive negativity and prejudice, and therefore this can be considered a safe and comfortable place to be.

We aim to provide access to and assistance with all content in the game, and have plenty of highly experienced individuals who are ready and willing to help with just about anything, especially newer player content. We are consistently bringing new players into our ranks and transforming them into elder dragon killing machines, and love helping folks understand builds and mechanics as well as strategies both in PvE and PvP. We of course also focus on the endgame and have weekly dungeon and fractal runs, including Aetherpath twice a week! [RISE] also occasionally sets up Silverwastes event maps for success with guild commanders at every fort. We are currently focused on preparing our guild for the coming content in Heart of Thorns, and have raid leaders lined up already.

The real value of our guild is in our colorful group of individuals and the silly things we do together. We have and continue to provide awesome social events, contests, mini-games and parties that we continually reminisce about with each other, long after they’ve ended! Even though we tackle all of the game’s content together, the most fun we have is when we’re bringing our entire community together for laughs. [RISE] has fun with the simplest things, including parading around Lion’s Arch and Divinity’s Reach as 20+ gigantic spiders with huge kites (yes that was us!).

Each night we have 20-30+ members online at a time, and even though we don’t require 100% reputation, most of the roster reps the guild and we usually don’t see more than 2-6 people unrepping at any given time. Our Teamspeak server is often populated as well, with 15-20+ online during peak hours.
