I’ve noticed a lot of guilds are confused and have been posting their recruitment messages on the wrong thread so I’d like to re-direct them to move their topic to this one https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment

Pretty sure it says server needs are appropriate here. If a servers needs include certain wvw guilds, then so be it. I wouldn’t expect pve or spvp guilds to post here as its not relevant to the server.

I would think if Anet didn’t want WvW guilds posting recruitment in this sub forum the mods would delete or move the thread. Since they have not done so, it brings me to believe they are ok with WvW guilds using a WvW related forum to find like minded WvW players.

I find it interesting that you think your the authority on what posts can be made here. These forums have very active mods and you should relax and let them do there job.

They used to move them when the sub forum was made but there was much complaining about it so they allow It to stay now and rightfully so since we are lookin for WvW players

Why the heck would they make “World Recruitment” it’s own section if we were only supposed to be recruiting individuals. That makes no sense. “Please people of guild wars join [x server] we need peoples”

Not sure why guild recruiting would even bother someone. If you don’t like the threads, don’t read them.

Achilles makes too much a vague argument. We don’t let threads go in whatever section and tell people to not read them if they don’t like it.

It’s up to ArenaNet to enforce where things go, not for us to argue about their intention.

If you are not posting a recruitment for your server please do not use this sub forum. The sub is used for recruitment not the terms of which this sub is used.

The point is the thread is cluttered with too many guilds asking for people when it was meant to be filled with topics of servers inviting people to join their server.

unfortunately ArenaNet mods got their hands full with other things and things like topics being misplaced are almost guaranteed to be overlooked unless flagged. Also I wouldn’t assume Anet’s abstinence necessarily means that they approve of guilds recruitment topics on this thread.

um Anet mods have come into there guild recruitment threads and removed trolls. So if they didnt want that thread there they would have deleted it, or closed and left a message.

I can’t help from feeling some negative energy here… I didn’t make this thread to offend anyone I just felt like alot of guilds are confused as to where they should place their topic.

Seems no better a place than this to look for more WvW guildies! Otherwise there would be only enough messages as there were servers.

I actually agree with the OP, as I’m tired of seeing every guild on JQ with it’s own thread here. Why not include your guild’s pitch in the server’s responses?

That would help so if someone is interested in a server, they can also see which guilds are big into WvW and ask them directly about when they play and so on.

I don’t care what tier you are in or what server, ultimately your guild determines more about when and how you play than any other factor.

EDIT: Chris has the right idea, if you include your guild pitch in the server’s recruitment topic then it’ll be a great way of explaining to any potential members what WvW is like and who makes up the community of said server.

Seems you would have no proof to back up your assertion other than an archaic post that is by no means enforced.

Until mods come here and remove posts anything you say is pointless. You are not going to change any ones mind. Make any argument you want but with out a Mod enforcing the bold quote in your first post we can safely assume that it is not a issue.

And it just want to make sure you know You’re not going to change peoples mind give up your pointless argument.

again I wouldn’t assume ArenaNet’s abstinence in the matter particularly means that they’re OK with having misplaced topics in the sub-forum.

Not trying to change peoples minds, just reminding people that there is a specific sub-forum for guild recruitment.

Them not doing anything about the massive amounts of WvW guild recruitment does specifically state that they are fine with it because they do look at these threads
