Not representative of community but I think majority of Gunnar’s agree with me

If any guilds looking for new home in EU and if they are prime-time only guild or just night-capping guild(NA) looking for PPT server or looking for bandwagon server that have several weeks of victory, please cross over Gunnar’s from your list. We have awesome community, stable numbers during day and night and devastating prime time with manageable but growing queues, and with recent [Asc] joining Gunnar’s, we are officially full !

Well 2 guilds recently are missing from FSP regular roster so there’s a bit of space. But Gunnars..should be full..lost count of guilds they have now !

I think if any offpeak guilds are interested in joining GH the best thing to do is contact the community http://www.gunnars-hold.eu/forum.php

Otherwise yea our Primetime is stacked.

Thought it was more than that Cliff? since end of season we have had around 4-5 guilds either no longer playing gw2 or disbanded or moved. I could probably name 4 off the top of my head without even thinking about it, probably a few more if u really thought about it which is a big chunk of what we had on the BL’s, in addition this wurm thing lol. But gunnars on the other hand are doing very well in the ratings their prime time must be chocka block.

It’s terrible during non prime hours, so US based people will do fine. But it’s packed with EU based people so in prime time there is quite a que.

That’s true. 4-5 guilds now have regular raids or so. Comparing to 8-9 as early as 3-4 weeks ago. Well anything is fine as long as we don’t have those hour long queues we had during season and early post season. Gunnar’s are doing great..really impressive !

On the other hand, monday evening, prime time. Outnumbered everywhere>?

This again is a couple of players who only play maybe an hour or two a week and who normally login during EU prime, who are now logging in and finding themselves in a ten minute queue at most.
So the sky is falling, the world is ending and Gunnar’s Hold is superstacked according to this minority of fair weather pvx players. gg

Feel free to come to Gunnar’s Hold, apart from these few selfish people moaning about having to queue for ten minutes during their 1 hour a week play time, you’re more than welcome here, along with any night capping NA players to help us combat the French Canadian players running riot PVD’ing everything at night.

Again, I only speak for myself, not the community. I must say I agree with the OP.

I can only assume oxo that you are one of our off peak players as Ekense is a well recognised and respected name on the server.

For peak time I regularly find myself in hour long queues, that is not for every borderland but the one my guild is playing on. Quite often all the maps are queued during prime time with queues ranging from 10 mins to 1 hour.

For off peak I would say that we are not full but we do not desperately need more players. We regularly have a large zerg on other maps and enough on our home map.

I do not want Gunnars to become a zerg server only for everyone to leave next week because we are no longer fotm. We have a great community and I have been with the server since betas and love it here. We have had ups and downs but that has only pulled the core of the community together.

There usually is a 30m queue from 8.30 to 9.30 PM GMT +1.
Aside from this time frame, queues are acceptable.
I don’t think the guilds here will like going into Gold League, so I suppose we do not want to improve our rating even further.

Where are you queueing from that’s giving you those hour long queues ? What the hell ?
Learn to beat their broken queue system.
Though that’s pretty pointless now (probably) once this patch hits later on today.

Ten minutes, at max, I’ve had to queue for any BL or EB during EU prime.

I’m not saying on the public forum here where or how exactly I’m queueing from either. I’ll post it on your forum shoutbox or something later in the week if it’s still needed after this new patch hits but if you’re a regular wvw player you should already know how to beat these queues, especially as a wvw guild trying to play together cough taxi cough …

Dylan you really need to do your homework. There are other people who are admins and TS3 admins. 3 people in one guild doesn’t make them the controllers of the Gunnar’s hold forum. I am not in MM never have been and Probably never will be as I’m very happy where I am. 1 of these so called MM rulers haven’t been in MM that long.. So it’s just how the game goes, larger guild swallow smaller guilds… Nature of the game. Origanlly there was admins and mods from all different guilds, but as they have moved on, changed game or just not interested anymore it’s just ended up working out like that.
So pipe down… Find a hobby and Move on

Dylan – if you tell me what does it mean to ‘take over a server’, i might actually consider it. Right now i’m afraid i have no idea what are you talking about, unless you’re simply seeing things in some MM folks providing some service to the community (be it maintaining the forums/TS, helping around Wurm attempts, providing tags for PvE and WvW stuff alike, and that kind of very shady evil plotting stuff).

The back story is that Dylan is an ex-MM member who was pointed out that arriving late to daily WvW raids because he’s busy in a dungeon is wrong and counterproductive to raid team building our raid leader is trying to achieve. He got kittenhurt over it, left, and has been attempting to troll at any opportunity (including putting a screenshot with a private whispered convo in his GH forum sig, and the like, which obviously isn’t right by any regular standards).
I would gladly kick from the guild and ban from the forums any of my guild members who’d be acting like him, be sure of that.

On the topic at hand
It’s worth noting that a number of GH guilds have disbanded or left recently, making some room even for primetime raiding guilds. Because of that, this thread is outdated – for now – and imho can be closed. It is, of course, disputable, but i heard rumours of no queues on last reset…

edit: Dylan’s post is gone – no idea if he deleted it himself or a moderator have; i was replying to a guy accusing my guild of ‘taking over the server’, and putting the whole issue in a wider perspective, but his original post ain’t no longer here. Nothing to see here, keep moving.

No need to close this topic (remove “is full” should be enough), we just need to let ppl know that we got a lot of space lately. Some guilds left, some play and raid in eotm, some became less active and there are almost no queues this matchup, only eb had a little bit bigger, but it always does when there is good commander leading pugs.

Anyway, imho doesnt matter who would join us – offpeak, prime time, eu, na or sea… We have enough space for all.

Really GH is full?

I heard you guys where a dying server, that most guilds, left or disbanded recently.

I must of been mis-informed. AG is in the same situation, 3 guilds per map 7 days a week is about the average + PuGs. EOTM has free’d up slots though for now.

We shall see if after the shiney new EOTM map has worn off, if people return to Borderlands or stay in EOTM.

Season 2 will show what spaces are left.

I have been out the loop for a while, taken a break for 3 months. – What guilds are on GH now, I remember MM, RAGE and TEO any others?? – notable that is.

I refuse to enumerate ‘notable guilds’ as i will inevitably omit one or two and i don’t like any limited lists of that kind. I can invite you to take a look at http://www.gunnars-hold.eu/forums/13-Guilds-and-Recruitment to find that info.

Thing is, most of our guilds now have yet to complete their roster so they are running with less people, while the number of guys that follow the PUG commander have increased a lot.

We are not full, but our primetime is still nicely stacked with great guilds. We are looking for offpeak players, guilds and especially commanders mostly (NA, Oceanic.. get a move on =)), but we would have room for another EU primetime guild aswell at this moment, though it would prolly mean short queues returning to all maps in primetime (atm around 3 of 4 maps queues with up to 20 waiting peak).

Also a fact.. we been matched up against Jade Sea a lot during the last 6 or so matchups, a strong gold league server which takes us over the knee all week long in offpeak and likes to siege their stuff up.. so general interest in WvW has taken a hit, i expect to see more players again when we have “easier” enemies or even are winning.

Still we have a splendid community at gunnars-hold.eu and are far from dying, even though around 3 guilds have thrown in the towel, but not because of our server, they all stayed here (except FURY which is rumoured to have made a comeback on some other server, AG maybe?) and just stopped raiding out of boredom / lack of motivation. We still have a lot of great guilds who collect many bags in the evening, some tags:

IRON, GRTS, CoN, SLAY, Asc, TaG, BANE, MM, NUKE, vK, RES are some of the GH raiding guilds atm (sorry if i didnt mention everyone, just pulled some tags out of my memory) who will take your bodies and structures, and there is a lot more smaller guilds that make an effort in WvW aswell, organized in small groups or as pugs even.

All in all we are still in very good shape for silver and hope to continue despite a few oldschool GH guilds laying down their sword as raiding groups. So, welcome to GH if you decide to give our cosy server a try, we have a lot to offer and are always lookign forward to meeting new faces, be it on our server or on the battlefield As a reminder.. especially offpeak is more then welcome to join us and relieve our sturdy morning cappers of a bit of pressure.

FURY are back together on AG and raiding again, I do not want to speak for them, but some FIRE guys have joined with them also, don’t know how many.

Speaking for TEO, I can say most of its members are still on GH and joined other guilds. CC in particular will soon be formally introduced on GH community site, once we got our stuff sorted ;]

Anyway, Gunnar’s is at a great spot atm, imo our big rank gain happened during the holidays due to extra numbers offpeak, wich shows what this server can do with some extra numbers in that time slot We did “lose” 3 raiding guilds but most of the players are still on Gunnar’s but just in other guilds(god knows it’s not hard to find a wvw guild here xD) i think we have no need for more prime time guilds atm one could say we are full in that time slot but offpeak, NA and Oceanic Guilds and Comanders are always welcome, and once you get known on the server and the pugs start trusing you you will love the fact that you are leading a PUG zerg made mostly out of players from wvw guilds xD $_$
