if you look at the Server Reputation thread on the official forums every post about AR is good. We are a skilled bunch but lack numbers, don’t get me wrong I think I speak for most when I say we like fighting superior numbers because we typically win but the coverage isn’t there. We have a couple guilds that hold their own but cannot cover multiple maps so any help would be welcomed. Looking forward to have you guys around.

By win I mean the fights not the week, only so much we can do when we have a couple guilds border hopping to try and keep everything

Yes we need some recruits to assist us in getting out of this tower humping fest that is quickly becoming the t7-t8 meta.

Come to Anvil Rock! We have a community of dedicated WvW’ers made up of quite a few medium sized guilds that run havoc zerg busing raids that will often ball up for a little zvz or run off to claim another server’s borderland.

Our server has weathered the rise and fall of glory and has its share of seasoned veterans. Tier wise, things are pretty stable as well, our opponents are usually pretty generous about handing out candies and bags, there’s not too many times that the match-up gets out of hand here one way or the other. It stays pretty competitive. There’s enough movement (between servers week to week) to keep things interesting, and enough good fights during the week to keep people awake and WvW’ing for the tick.

If you or your guild are looking for a home; If you enjoy good competition, good server communication / coordination please consider anvil rock your next home. We are a pretty heavy oceanic timezone, could use more eu and na players, but any and all are welcome.

I would recommend AR to anyone who is looking to move down and take advantage of the free transfers. The reality of all this is, why would you want to go anywhere else, AR already has the skill but we lack the numbers. We enjoy kicking other servers teeth down their throat even if were outmanned, man for man AR is probably one of the best servers on GW2 now if we could get some numbers we would be a force to be feared (although we already are, ask the other servers that try and avoid combat vs AR at all costs). I don’t think anyone wants to be a band wagon server and sky rocket to T2, we just need some numbers to help us return to our rightful spot in T4-T5, if we go futher so be it.

The question could be posed, why AR over other servers. Here is what I can tell you. The community is receptive to change, and will generally welcome new players into the fight. The militia on AR is second to none, these players fight like it’s their last, every fight. Organized guild groups here are quite good, but few and far between. Communication could be improved, but there is a server wide TS and web site for the AR community, so it’s being worked on. Relatively moldable player base on AR, lots of new people out on the field, most willing to change and adapt for a better AR. Lots of fun to be had, generally good fights all through the day. People that say lower tiers are dead haven’t played on lower tiers.

I would like to echo this sentiment: come to AR, we have lots of cookies. We will be free to transfer to, have a TS server for our pugs, do quite a bit of roaming, have one of the most active pvp communities (although pvp is pretty sparse in general at the moment), and have pretty dedicated players who stuck with us during our downfall and now rebuilding!

AR is a great place to roam, a great place to enjoy large-scale wvw without mega-zerging (only a few opponents, like GoM and Darkhaven mega-zerg, which is lame), and a great place to enjoy all aspects of the game. We even have an active PvE train that does temples/karka daily, and has been trying to get on Teq and the Wurm!
