Guild Wars 2

Yo, hey, hi there. How’sit goin?
I got this game as a gift a year ago, finally popped it open. Got the MMO itch and decided WoW was just out of the question… played that for years and it just got to be so blah.

Anyway, I’m new to the game, I have a lv ~15 warrior I’m playing and it’s been pretty fun. I’m looking for a guild to play with, and I would prefer one that is laid back, with no weird mandatory this or that, for example, no mandatory VOIP. I am not terribly social personally, however I do enjoy a guild that that has a lot of people cracking jokes and generally having fun. I enjoy large active guilds. I don’t plan on joining more than one, so from what I understand from the system, I will “rep” the first guild I join.

Some guy was trying to get me in his guild the other day, and just did not understand that I was new and didn’t understand rep… so I had to go look it up.

I plan on playing GW2 till I get bored, and I also am working on modding Skyrim as well, so there will be stints where I won’t be online for a few days at a time.

I run my own Ventrilo server, but I haven’t stress tested it yet beyond 5 people, I would actually love the chance to do so.

Since a guild is kind of a virtual group of buddies for me, I like to give a little about myself:
I am an audio engineer, and actually got sidetracked writing this, reading up on sone and phon units of measurement
Got my first gaming system, a Super Nintendo, for christmas in ‘92 or something
I am a tech at my university
I don’t do well with real people…. >.>

The Remnants of Hope is based on the Tarnished Coast server and offers PvX, RP, and WvW while maintaining a fun and social atmosphere in guild chat and TS3. We love re-experiencing the game through new members/players eyes.

We offer every aspect of the game but nothing is required for you to do except that you play the game to have fun in your own way. We don’t require a time requirement or a strict you have to be on every day. We do require you to represent us 100% on all your characters since RoH is a home to all of us and we like to see you having fun

Oh that brings up a question of mine, how does it work for cross server hootnanny? Would I benefit more from finding a guild on my server?

It’s up to you…. and depends on what you like to do. We have a couple members on another server that join us for everything except WvW. You can guest over and do everything except that. So depending on what you want to do then that would answer your question. If you aren’t interested (right now) in WvW then you can just take an extra step and guest over to whatever server you would like and run with your friends but if you are really into WvW you would be better to find one on your server you are on or to transfer servers.

I guess I should look for something on Rall, however some people were discussing the unofficial RP server, and they said that the community there was just great. I forgot the server though.

Tarnished Coast is the unofficial rp server and the community here is awesome! I love it!

Ah yes! haha I don’t know why I didnt just scroll up and read it, send me an invite this evening when I am on and I’ll chat it up with y’all, and prolly transfer over there eventually. the server was really talked up when I asked about this stuff on my server.
