Team Lead For Radioactive [dK] B Team
(edited by masskillerxploit.2165)
Welcome!, Ferox here, and as the title says, Hypnotic Gaming is looking for, 4 talented individuals. I started this team very recently due to teams either being full or failing. I love this game, even though it has its downs, theirs a lot of ups as well! Competing in this game at a high tier is an experience that is unmatched when comparing to the other parts of the game. The combat is unmatched in other MMOs. The potential of this game going eSports has been growing recently and I’m sure along with others, we will get there, just gotta stick with it.
I have been playing this game since beta and started out being a “PvE Hero”. PvE was too easy so I ended up joining the sPvP community, and I have been there ever since. I recently made a mark in the scene, when I joined Sharks With Lazers. We were very successful for awhile, surprising many other vets of the PvP scene. It didn’t last as long as I wanted though, as their was a recent fall out, and I ended up leaving the team. I want Hypnotic Gaming, to be my second mark. I want it to be more successful than my previous endeavors, and I’m sure with the right people, it can be accomplished.
How to apply:
-Decide for yourself if you meet the requirements
-Contact me in-game with a mail (masskillerxploit.2165)
-Post here (I will be checking daily)
-Email me (masskillerxploit@gmail.com, make sure to clearly state the title “Hypnotic Gaming App” or it might be missed)
-Post, Email or Contact me In-Game with the info:
How old are you? What is your IGN? What are your mains? Are you able to compete and play in LAN events in the USA and across the globe? Can you play the hours that I have listed, and if not, when can you play? Do you have access to teamspeak 3 and do you have a fully working headset to be able to communicate with? Can you compete in online tournaments on the weekends/weekdays? (weeklies, tournaments) What makes you stand out from other players that will be applying for the same spot you are applying for?
Practice times (can change or vary): 9:30pm-11:30pm Est. M-Th; Fri, Sat, and Sun will be reserved for scrims, tournaments, or extra practice.
Requirements:
-TS3 with functioning headset.
-Age of 18 or older (exceptions could be made).
-Ability to get a passport (if not already have one).
-Live in the NA region.
-Can socially interact with members of the team and “lighten up” a bit at times of stress.
-Has consistent play and cannot be easily tilted or thrown off balance in high pressure matches.
-Good communication while competing.
-Good attitude and can give effective input to the teams shot calls, decision making and attitudes.
-Ability to improve to have strong mechanics and outplay potential.
-Ways of contact outside of game.
-Professional advertisement of HG (Promote yourself as a good player, keep a professional attitude while competing, do not give HG a bad rep, NO BM, NO RAGING towards other players or teams; have a problem with another team or player? keep it in the private TS channel, not “Map Chat” or public TS)
After App submission, I will be contacting you In Game and will invite you to Team Qs, or sessions in a private arena. I will be looking at each player that applies, then I will test the applicants with communication, game play, conquest mode knowledge, decision making skills, consistency skills and other small attributes that build up the individuality of each player. I will then decide who got the spots, here in this post, with the complete roster (so keep checking back here!) Also there is no time restraints on this recruitment post (a lot of time to find the perfect teammates, till the next big tournaments). I will be building this team off of good players, not based off of comp. When this team has its full 5, we will then develop our own comp, and strategies.
EDIT: If there are a lot of applicants, I will invite you to Team Hypnotic [THyp] to keep track of the all the applicants.
Thanks!, and good luck!
-Ferox

~I cant stress enough that I do not bad mouth anyone except pity those who do. ~
I might be interested in joining a high-level team formation but I am probably not the type of player you’re looking for due to my IRL commitments (wife/kids, law school): can only practice fri/sat/(maybe sun?) during non-optimal hours. I can’t practice past 10:30pm EST (internet gets throttled at that time).
I would meet all of the fundamental requirements, age, passport, ts, etc.
Honestly I think I’m probably one of the few wild-cards in the competitive scene and people highly underestimate me. I’m often highly criticized for playing with the people I frequently play with (usually my wife and close friends) because for one, they’re not even rank 80 and secondly they run out-of-the-box weird builds that are definitely not meta. Why? They like to have fun with the builds they enjoy best and I haven’t been playing ultra competitively.
I think I’m underestimated because well-established teams and players see us in a tournament bracket and think easy-win but when I’m with players who let me do my thing my way and make reads and plays we often upset teams, especially on my stronger maps.
You can go back and look at past ToL/ToG performances for my pve guild seraphs of fortuna and see that in the past 3 we’ve made two 3rd place finishers and one 4th place finisher in the respective qualifying matches and we didn’t necessarily have the easiest brackets.
I think I am a very niched player, meaning if I am put with the right types of players I can make a huge difference, but if you put me with other equally good but strategically different players, it’s just a waste and you’re better off with any other thief.
If you’re looking for a versatile player or thief, that’s not me. I run my unique build and won’t try and defend its virtues. What I will say is that my performance in past tournaments speaks for itself. Look at the level of players on my teams in the past and look to see how far we went. In one tournament where we beat keeping it kosher we had a rank 18, a rank 42, and rank 44 with us… so yeah…
I mention I’ll be free to explore potential teams because the players I normally play with may not be able to participate in the next tournament.
**I refuse to deal with raging. Losing sucks but I am playing this game with the few hours of free time I do get from my other commitments and I refuse to listen to any form of within-team BM. Even without commitments I’m probably the most relaxed player in the competitive scene if you talk to people who actually play with me.
Also outside of tournament play you can look at my stats to see even without an actual team in TQ’s and Solos I’ve consistently been top 1-200 with a very strong win-rate. I’ve currently decayed this past week or so due to midterms (law school has a mandatory cut so they’re pretty important =\

How old are you? 21
What is your IGN? M R Stabby
What are your mains? Thief, Warrior, Necro, Guardian (emphasis on the thief)
Are you able to compete and play in LAN events in the USA and across the globe? Yes
Can you play the hours that I have listed, and if not, when can you play? Yes
Do you have access to teamspeak 3 and do you have a fully working headset to be able to communicate with? Yes
Can you compete in online tournaments on the weekends/weekdays? (weeklies, tournaments) Yes
What makes you stand out from other players that will be applying for the same spot you are applying for? I consider myself a good player, and I am always improving. That’s what I believe makes me stand out from everyone else. Players that think they do not need to learn anything new, or that the current meta is the only meta. In a game like Guild Wars 2 the meta is always changing, and a competitive player needs to be flexible and innovative in order to compete at the highest level. I am also a very competitive individual. I do not let pressure get to me, and I am not a sore loser, but I love to win. I’ve followed esports for quite awhile, and I believe that Guild Wars 2 could possible make a move into popularity, but it’s going to take better broadcasting, and also promotion by the players. I think that we could accomplish this with this new team. That’s what makes me stand out from other applicants. That and I play a mean thief.
