I check this forum every day but rarely, if ever, see anything from HoD.

I just moved here two days ago and am looking for a PvX type guild that does some PvE as well as a good amount of WvW. I’d like a “full” and friendly guild where there are often people online to do activities with or just chat.

The guilds I’ve tried joining so far might say they’re full but then I find they have a very small amount of members and there is never anyone on.

I’d also love a guild that isn’t entirely hardcore about it’s WvW and understands that you might have family/kids/other obligations and aren’t able to be on and in WvW and Teamspeak 24/7.

Try Crystal Desert of you’re looking for a server. The season hasn’t even started and pre-free transfer HoD players already can’t get into our own WvW maps, consider a different server.

Anyways, I already moved two days ago, as I said. Actually moved DOWN from SBI because the friend I am bringing was moving up from ET and we wanted somewhere we could play together.

Don’t really care if it’s a “bandwagon” right now. My assumption would be that it’s not only due to having transfers but also because it’s the start of the new season and everyone wants to get in there. It WILL die down at some point and there won’t be queues anymore.

Yeah HoD tends not to recruit on the official forums. Or really do much on the forums at all, for that matter. I like the new faces and I think we should strive to welcome our new brothers-in-arms, even if it does involve having to share the playground with others.

WOW HoD Queuing all of the Battlegrounds.. not even T1 servers can do that…
I was wondering why there are large guild groups running in circles chasing 4 of us around on CDBL ….where HoD already owns everything….lol

but HoD do have many large and organized guilds, so stay on HoD if you want to do well in silver league season 2…. FA and DB are no match again that number

Hi Grace, the Charter Vanguard on HoD does a bit of everything. We’re a 360+ International member guild with an almost 10year history. Many of the members actually “grew up” with CV. There are many families, couples, singles and relatives on here. We’re beginner-friendly and love to chat on the GC just about anything. There are no strict requirements for involvement except a request for our members to be active, otherwise to let us know beforehand. We have missions twice every sat and other events. Honestly speaking what is the point of transferring to a server when you have to wait sooooo long for a chance to even get into WVW…. Servers like Crystal Desert have no queues (well maybe up to 20 during peak hours(only EBG)) and still has the population to do many other fun things PVE wise.

Let’s just say Crystal Desert is like an overflow, but CD has so much potential right now as well. I might sound cheap but it doesn’t hurt to try CD as well instead of the bandwagon.

People talk about the queues on HoD like they are inescapable, yet I personally haven’t experienced more than one queue, and it wasn’t that long either. Ironically CD’s been deriding us for having no coverage vs theirs. Going by your measure, if we have queues, you guys probably have double that. :p

Yeah, only EB was queued last night and it wasn’t even that long.

Tuesday was probably just a trainwreck since it was the first transfer day.

It’s hard to use a Thursday night as a way to measure queue time. Thursday is the PvE day for many server. You will see those tonight after reset.

Reset night is also a terrible indicator of server population.

Even coming from SBI, it’s hard to get a correct read on your WvW populace. SBI is incredibly strong on the weekends when the militia comes out to play in force, but as soon as the weekdays roll around and the focus is placed on guild groups, things slow down a lot.

After spending more time on HoD, it appears that our NA is very strong… and that’s about it. I don’t think it’s as bandwagony as it initially appeared to be and I think things will even out over the course of the season.
