Is it okay to PAY for guild membership?
I do not believe that paying your guild leader a weekly fee is against any of ArenaNet’s rules.Actually since this is a social game and Guilds are like social clubs u can probably go anyway u want to.Most guilds don’t ask u to pay a fee(whether real money or in-game money) and i believe that the ones that do are pretty good.Personally this is the first time i am hearing this and it caught me by surprise a bit as well.I’d advise u though to get some payment for your work.I mean you are spending a part of your time farming mats for them…
I actually enjoy the farming part. there was some mutual benefit there that I WANTED to farm and they wanted to raid. I’m still more than happy to gather for free but pay to stay.
Assuming it is okay, I’d like to work out a long term deal with someone who has a guild. I’m currently leveling but I’ll gladly pay membership fees until I’ve hit the level cap and then start farming.
I will send you a list of materials I need farmed.
That being said there isn’t traditional raiding in GW2 like there was in WoW. So you may want to try at least a couple of the activities in the game before you say you aren’t interested in them. Also some Guilds do charge a Membership fee, so there should be no issues if you want to pay someone to be a member.
