Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone reading this post! I am a level 80 North America Jade Quarry Mesmer (That’s my main character). His name is Elron Symphi. I have a measly 2,000 achievement points and have almost no money at all (2g, 16g is my record). Here is the list of what I am looking for in this guild.
1. No cray-cray in the hay-hay people wishing me to devote my entire life to playing with the guild (Even though I do spend a decent amount of time on GW2).
2. WvW. I love it, but am also awful at it. My inspiration was Osicat and his builds. I am trying REALLY hard to get better. I was told to do PvP to help with my 1v1 and 1v2 skills (Which I hate too but am persistent).
3. Fractals. I need it primarily because I am craving ascended accessories and weapons ( Some moola too).
4. Fairly active. I know I said no devoting my life, but I want to have at least a few other people on.
5. Friendliness. I like talking. A lot. And I seem to ramble significantly more in this game. I prefer nice people who like to chat too.
6. PvE. I like getting the achievements too because I only have those 2,000 points compared to some (I don’t know if I just have a life or if I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing).
I’m sure that was a lot to take in and I’m sure I probably won’t find a guild who wants a nooby mesmer like me, but I’m hopeful! In case this helps I’ll give some of my likes and dislikes.

Fantastic post, and very in-depth, really liked it. The guild I rep might suit your tastes, we are active, mature but at the same time casual, we don’t require a certain amount of play time. We are based on Sanctum of Rall – but we can do everything with you apart from WvW.

MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forums.
I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

• We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2). Most of our GW2 members are older with careers, and many have families and children.

• We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Additionally, because we are casual our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. People will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through things no matter how basic or advanced.

• We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

• Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum.

This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

It sounds like my guild, Vintage Gaming [VG] on Jade Quarry might be a good fit for you. We’re a medium-sized PvX guild, with most members being primarily PvE players. (Medium-sized meaning ~170 total members and ~40 members on during typical North America primetime hours.)

We’re a very active guild, but we don’t force anybody to do anything. You are free to participate in guild activities to whatever level you’re comfortable.

While we don’t do anything organized on the WvW or PvP front, many of our members do enjoy doing WvW and PvP. Especially with the seasons going on, you’ll see a lot of people in EB or in the borderlands. Guildies will typically group up and run together if they find themselves in at the same time. Our more experienced members will also be happy to give you tips if you want any.

3. Fractals. I need it primarily because I am craving ascended accessories and weapons ( Some moola too).

Our guildies group up to do dungeons and fractals on a daily basis. We have a lot of players who do higher level fractals (20s and 30s) and also a bunch of people who recently decided they want to do more fractals to increase their personal levels (I think currently in the 10s). If you’re new to fractals, our more experienced players will be happy to show you the ropes.

4. Fairly active. I know I said no devoting my life, but I want to have at least a few other people on.

Very active! We have a lot of players online every day, doing all sorts of things. We also have guild missions twice a week (Saturday evening primary, Wednesday evening makeups). You’ll want to participate in those if you’re looking for ascended trinkets (you trade guild commendations for them). We also have regular fun goofy events like zombie hide and seek. Again, nothing is mandatory, so you’re free to participate however much you want.

5. Friendliness. I like talking. A lot. And I seem to ramble significantly more in this game. I prefer nice people who like to chat too.

Chatting about all sorts of things happen in guild chat all the time. We’re very friendly people.

We do plenty of PvE! Dungeons, fractals, world bosses, new Living World content, etc. If getting achievements interests you, we have plenty of people who are into that. (To brag a little: Five people in the top 1000 in NA, including yours truly, and fifteen people with over 10,000 AP.)

If you want a fun, active community, [VG] sounds like it would be for you. I find a good way to get to know people is to get on the guild’s voice chat program. Our guild uses Mumble, which is a free and open source software.
