Hi all. I have some questions
I’m seeking to transfer to either JQ or Blackgate. I don’t know anything about the difference between the two sooo

1) What are the zergs like in WvW on each/either server?
2) How are the queues and coverage during different hours? I’m in central timezone
3) How are the commanders?
4) Any EoTM players?

Not on either server, but real answers.

1) Mostly big ones

2) JQ is more SEA-heavy while BG is more balanced. Expect prime time to have some queues, but it usually won’t be unplayable/hours long/on all maps except for reset/massive pushes. They’ll both say they’re outnumbered though, because T1. You won’t be starved for action in either server.

3) There will be good ones and there will be bad ones

4) Those in queue

JQ is also probably going to win the season. :P

1) Depends on the time of day, honestly. I’ve found that BG tends to be a little less inviting & more trollish – but they do have some decent commanders and they get things done so long as it’s not a 2v1. JQ I found was more professional in terms of attitude.
2) Coverage is decent on both. Queues can get pretty high on either one but I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes to get in (depends on the time of day).
3) I think they are fine on either side. BG has some commanders that can have bad attitudes but I don’t know JQ’s.
4) Yes – on both.

Honestly, if you’re trying to decide which one to go to, it kind of boils down to server rep. As some have already pointed out, BG is not the most popular (in fact, since the reset it’s been a 2v1 against TC and JQ).

I think there are a lot of people that pick BG because they do have the reputation that they are mean but they get things done (mostly during prime times I’ve found). I go back and forth on which one I like more tbh.

Kind of funny. I was thinking of starting a similar topic.
However, I was looking to transfer to either TC or JQ and trying to find out more info about both servers.

Some good info about JQ.
Anyone have anything about TC?

The T1 servers aren’t going to be very different population-wise, we have different “prime” times but there’ll be something going on all the time. JQ is SEA-heavy, TC is EU-NA heavy. We’re both cuddly.
