Hey I was looking for a new guild and you guys seem like a good fit for me. I’m not a noob, but i’m no vet by any means. Unfortunately, I do work a lot and I can’t be on all the time. Would that be an issue?
Jayze, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. We value the quality of the member over the quantity of gaming hours. Me or my recruiting Officer will get with you. Or, if see me or Ashafaresman.5302 in game you can whisper us. There will be a short interview just to make sure you understand what we offer and ask for in return.
Okay, we only have two slots left open then I will be shutting down recruitment. We have 48 total members of which 5 are inactive due to RL issues. So, during our peak hours we have a lot of members online. Our Discord channel at peak hours is also very active. So, if you are looking for a place where everybody knows you, where you are treated like family with respect and support, then we are the guild you want. We only ask three things.
*One, you put in the effort to get to know us so we can get to know you.
*Two, that you ask a guildie for help before pugging something, anything.
*Three, we ask that you rep when doing stuff with guildies and you must do stuff with us if you want to complete the Squire trial period and make full member.
Oh, and did I mention our dental plan? I may raise the soft cap on membership in the future but I will consider that at a later date.

I just had a 2-hour back-and-forth with my recruitment Officer last night and, yeah, I agreed to open up 3 slots. So, if you’re looking for an active community that raids, maps, fractals, and spelunks with a dash of PvP and a Discord channel that is guaranteed to keep you laughing, then come join us. We are new player, returning player, and veteran player friendly. You must be willing to be part of a family; which is why we keep things small. We are a small guild but don’t let that fool you into thinking we are noobs. We (the membership) choose to keep it small and tight. It’s no big deal to chat with each other from work, cracking jokes and having fun on Discord out of game. That is who we are. The only real question here is, what are you looking for?
Well, it’s funny how recruitment goes in spurts. Anyway 2 slots open. So, we offer raiding, map clearing, new and experienced fractals, dungeons, PvP, provide guild hall bonuses, are starting to look at WvW, guild missions, regular promotion ceremonies, active Discord channel, and more all free from drama or cliques. Also, we have a great dental plan.
I am in the process of finalizing plans to raise our soft cap from 50 to 75 members. We have a very tight, closest I have seen in my 2 years of GW2, community that I do not want to lose. Keeping it tight is my primary goal. This is why I have been so slow to change the soft cap. During your trial period remember the Golden Rule, guildies come first. The fastest way to fail the trial period is to join, PUG, and don’t join any of the calls for fractals, raids, dungeons, etc. I will post back here when the soft cap is officially changed, which will probably be after the Thursday promotions and guild missions.
We now officially have a 75 member soft cap, meaning we have 25 open positions. I math much good. Also, in addition to our amazing dental plan, we now have a great health care plan*. I want to stress that we are a casual guild. It should be clear from the occasional jokes I throw into the posts. We do not discriminate, rage if you mess up, force meta down your throat, or pressure you into running certain content with us. Heck, even if you haven’t realized Asura are the best thing since the invention of flux induction trans-dyno inverse golem conduits, I won’t hold it against you.
Okay, well, we are filling the open slots a bit quicker than I expected. I thought we were in a bit of a recruitment crunch? We are still accepting members who want to be part of a tight group, who are active, do mainly PvE but don’t mind a little PvP or WvW action. We are active after 6pm CST and have no requirement for profession, gear, or experience with GW2. We only ask that you be willing to have fun and open to joining a family culture. Elitist and hardcore need not apply, we don’t stress a dungeon or fractal wipe. Go stress missing your AC speed run by 1 second somewhere else. Contact info is in first place. I’m looking for a new guild that is friendly and social; seems like this guild fits that description. Please note that I do have work and school, which is a priority over GW2, but I’m still online throughout the week. I’m a seasoned player, but I’m new to HoT. I really only play PvE (namely open world content) and I hope that’s not an issue. I do live in EST though.
Is this a 4th wall break since I know Igtenos joined a few hours after making this post? Or maybe it could be considered dramatic irony since I know something you reading this doesn’t? Well, now you know because I told you. My head hurts. XD
Anyway, work and school are always priorities. I have a job and got my degree years back from UTSA. So, those pose no problem to being a part of our family. We prize the quality of the member over the quantity of hours played. Also, since we are PvE focused you’ll be just fine. We have mapping on Monday, dungeons Tuesday, guild missions Thursday, and fractals Friday. If you are interested in raids we have open raids on rotating Wednesday and Friday’s; or, if you want to you can join our dedicated raid team after completing your trial period.
I’ve only been in this guild for a few days, but I’m really enjoying it! The guild is laid back and there are no super-strict requirements, which is ideal for a player with an asynchronous gaming schedule due to prior commitments (someone like me). I haven’t been available to attend guild events yet, but I’m confident I will enjoy them as well.
To other players seeking a genuinely friendly guild, I strongly suggest KNHD.
We are in the process of reworking our monthly schedule to give more even exposure to content. Additionally, we are field testing a program that allows higher ranked Knights to claim a spot in the guild hall for decorating as their own. Of course there is a cap on items thus the field test. Finally I am looking into a better health policy for the guild, one that covers arrows to the knees.
We are closing recruitment. A few members have approached us and expressed concern about the guild losing its family feel due to the recent expansion. Normally I would break in with a joke but this time I want to drop a few facts. Fact is people leave GW2, they have, they will, they get bored or whatever. Guilds cannot control that. With that said, of the members who have joined and remained in game we have a 90% retention rate. How is this possible?
We are not just a guild we are an extended family.
We do not care if you are new to GW2 or a veteran player. If you have HoT or not. We treat everyone the same, as a member of the family.
We do not put up with Elitist attitudes. If you want to be hardcore fine, but do not get mad when that new GW2 speed run record goes out the window because your fellow guildies stopped to crack jokes in the middle of that fractal. Hardcore does not equal elitist but the line can be thin. Hardcore can be fun for some people but again, don’t except the entire guild to be hardcore and don’t come with an elitist attitude. If that is you, go find another guild.
We do not tolerate bigotry or drama. We have members from 20 to 60 years old from all walks of life. One family!
How do we manage this? We have a 3 step process to joining.

Wow, fresh off a great vacation where I got to see my oldest daughter graduate basic training. Fantastic! Now back to recruitment. We have 1 open slot left. Actually, it was filled by a guy from EU who wasn’t even sure if he would be able to keep playing due to RL stuff; and he couldn’t.
So, 1 slot open. We are a PvE focused guild. We mainly do fractals but we have 2 raid teams, have a training program of sorts if you need help with specific content or a profession, use Discord, and have an upgraded guild hall.
