LF Guild NA - PvX - Newbie
Hi there! I’m one of the leaders of Druids of Dhuum [DoD] a PvX guild on Northern Shiverpeaks. We’re very casual and friendly. We’re also very welcoming to new players. Our number one priority is having fun, but we do strive to improve our skills in the game. We have a strong PvE core, and you are always welcome to watch cutscenes in our dungeon runs. We have scheduled guild missions, and regular world boss runs, dungeon runs, and we even do things like map completion and crafting together. We also have an interest in WvW, with scheduled runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays (you are not required to be at scheduled events, just wanted to let you know that they happen!). We also have PvP teams that are very good about teaching new people. More than anything, we’re a goofy happy family that enjoys gaming together.
If you’re interested, feel free to check out our website at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of our leaders:
PvE: Trafficone.5301 (me)
WvW: Turkadactyl.5308
PvP: Blaze.7185
Good luck with your search! I hope you find the right guild for you!

Hiya, Deekow!
Welcome to Guild Wars 2! There are definitely a lot of amazing things in the game to spark that sense of wonder. (I’m still finding things that make me feel that way, and I’ve been playing for a long time.)
From your description, I really feel like my guild, Ember Solace, would be a good fit for you.
We’re super active, and we have regularly scheduled events every day of the week (mostly in EST evening time). We’re great about helping new people, and we’re very patient about explaining fight mechanics, taking things slow, watching ALL of the cut scenes, etc. (Plus, I’m a big fan of run-on sentences. =P )
None of our events are required, so you never have to worry that the game is really a job. We do have an activity policy, but that’s just having members let us know if they’re going to be gone for a month or more. We’re 100% rep, and we also have an application, but I promise it’s not about gear or level; it’s a way to weed out trolls so we can keep the guild a safe space.
Oh, and we have a great RP Team (led by Noodle, with Mitha and Squiddy helping) that hosts fun events (both in-game and on the forums). And we do team PvP and a dash of WvW, so whenever you’d like to explore that, there’s an option.
If you’re interested in us, you can visit our forums and read our Purpose and Principles. That can give you an idea of our guild. If you register as a user, you get read-access to our GW2 sections, so you can kind of scope us out and see how we interact. Then, if you’d like to apply, you can fill out the application on the forums (at the bottom, under the “Applications” section).
And of course, if you have any questions, please let me know. ^^ Good luck in your search for a great guild family, and I hope we hear from you soon!
I could always interest you in a spot in Wizened Wizards [WISE] guild. =)
We are a PvX (heavily focused to PvE) casual, yet structured, guild who wants to try to take part in all aspects that GW2 has to offer. Although we are a guild with growing numbers, we take more accustomed to the phrase ‘quality over quantity’, and that’s what we intend to do.
Being a casual guild, I have my rule of never removing one for inactivity; play at your leisure. Although I cannot assure you that you may/may not see many on at your time (especially with some schoolers/workers in the guild), we will definitely be on to have a great time with you!
Being a structured guild, while we don’t necessarily have a rep requirement as you join, we do keep an eye on this based to on our rank system, basically showing your loyalty/commitment to our guild, while always having fun with the other guilds.
If you want to take us into interest, and especially in becoming a member for us, you can always check out our guild expectations here – http://i.imgur.com/oc0xkba.png
As always, a link to our recruitment thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/Wizened-Wizards-FA-Casual-based-Guild/first
We do not make it required that you have to be on our home server (Fort Aspenwood) to join the guild at all, but if you plan to do WvW with us, then you will need to consider a transfer to FA then. The type of voice communication we use is TeamSpeak 3, and I will try to get everyone to use it at that prime-time you listed!
Feel free to contact me in-game, as I will be sure to let you know of my response. =)
Well, thanks for the replies. Seems there are a few options for me to consider; will be checking these out!
