Guild Wars 2

Hi the names Valkus, I’ve been playing GW2 since it came out but went MIA for several months due to moving and playing Final Fantasy XIV, I wanted to get back into the GW2 scene considering I was able to upgrade my gfx card and get 8gbs of ram which has helped out making the game more stable for me.

I currently have a lvl 80 Thief/Mesmer, at the moment I’m playing my thief just doing Structure PVP since I’m kinda confused of what I should be doing at the moment. So if you’re recruiting you can def hit me up on here since Ill be stalking this thread.

Also I have MMO experience since 2003 ranging from the epic RUNESCAPE, baby! World of Warcraft before it turned easy mode and other random MMOS. So I’m pretty confident on my online gaming knowledge once I get a hang of any game.

I would love some more information! For example:

What content do you generally prefer? I know you said you have been hanging out in sPvP but is that what you really like to do in MMOs? Have you touched any PvE content yet? Do you plan to?

What size/type of guild are you looking for? There are lots of guilds that range from a close tight nit handful of people, to large 400+ members. Some guilds focus on themes or spesific types of gameplay while others do a bit of everything. Also some guilds are very casual and dont require any activity of thier members and others are more “hardcore” as we put it and take thier gaming a tad more seriously and expect their members to as well.

What is your timezone and most regular hours of play? Especially if you are looking for a smaller group of close friends to fit into, it is very important to be sure that the playtimes match up somewhat. You dont want to be on the other side of the world from the majority of your guild and never see them because they are all sleeping when you are online :P

And how do you feel about using a guild website and voice chat? Other forms of communication are very common in organized guilds. Some guilds require regular forum or voice chat activity. Do you own a working microphone? How do you feel about using it?

And another important question (although it doesnt really matter for me personally cuz you are already on the same server as we are ) is what server you are on and how you would feel about transferring for the right guild? Most of the people that are looking for a good guild that fits thier playstyle find that guild offworld. I know that the prices of transferring are not cheap but there is alot of content that is restricted if you are not on the same server as your guild. Some guilds dont care about it but others like to know up front if you would be willing to transfer over to thier world if it ends up being a good fit.

The more information you provide when looking for a guild the better the chance that the guild that has everything your looking for will contact you :P Good luck on your search

1) We like to hang out with mature players, however, we don’t care if you are 16 or 60; acting like a responsible and mature person gets you a lot further along both in the game and in real life.

2) We emphasize respect. Let’s face it; we all are busy and our game time and family time is important. We cherish the time we get to play and socialize but are always glad to lend a hand if you’re stuck at a hard spot killing that champion. Just ask; we’ll help as soon as we can. Say thanks. Care about your guildmates and treat them like you want to be treated.

3) Drama is not tolerated. We all have real lives and enough drama in them. We play with our friends to take a break from real life. Please leave your drama at the door before entering.

4) We realize that there are all kinds of people with all kinds of beliefs. There is a difference in discussing or sharing your beliefs and proposing that yours are the right or only ones. By all means feel free to discuss the mysteries of the universe with us openly and without judgment of your fellow guildees.

5) Our guild uses Raidcall for group and guild events. You can find the group id on our guild page, main tab once you join us. We certainly encourage you to try it out as we are typically online sharing stories and relaxing. We use it also for group and guild events because hey, we can’t swing a sword and type at the same time.

6) Casual is the goal – Even though we are currently working on PVE content and branching into WVW once we have more active members, we are striving to maintain a casual atmosphere overall. This is a game and it’s meant to be fun and enjoyed in good measure

I’m actually in the casual scene as of now, trying to go back and forth between two MMOs can be tiring. At the moment I don’t have a job so my time is very flexible, at the moment I’m more focused on PVPing since FFXIV is literally all PvE based so I want to change up my style whenever I get on GW2.

I don’t remember if transferring is free or not but I wouldn’t be willing to transfer if I had to pay lol. I wouldn’t mind having a few people to play with and mess around with in PVPing since thats what Im thriving to do AT THE MOMENT. :P

In-Game Activity

• WvW – Weekly WvW night. We run in small groups.
• sPvP – Not much sPvP activity but we will support anyone wanting to start a team.
• Leveling – We often team up with and help our lower levels.
• Dungeons – Eager to run Dungeons, often done nightly.
• Fractals – Same as above. Our most active runners are nearly level 10+.
• World Bosses – We often report active bosses and kill most of them on a nightly basis.
• Missions – Actively unlocking missions.
• Representing – We do not require 100% representation, but atleast 75+-%.
