Guild Wars 2

Hello! My name is Amanda and I’m 25 from Michigan. I am currently looking for a friendly group of people to hang out with and chat with in game. I purchased this game about a year and a half ago, but never actually started it because none of my friends ended up being interested. I played Guild Wars 1 a little bit, but was in the same boat with that game too. I just had nobody to play with.

I may be new to Guild Wars but am definitely not new to MMO’s. I played WoW for 8 years before losing my job, and since GW2 does not have a subscription I figured it would be perfect to start up in order to get my MMO fix. Thing is, I am a total newbie, and not knowing even basic things about the game is frustrating, and the WoW community’s toxic attitude toward new people has totally killed any way I would ask a question in chat.

My home world is Borlis Pass, for no reason besides it being the random one I chose. I have no problems starting over (psh, I’m only like level 9 while writing this) if I can get some cool peeps to chat and hang out with. Currently unemployed but with night classes a couple days a week, so I can be pretty active. Size does not matter to me.

Hi, Amanda! We’re super friendly, and, better yet, we love helping completely new people. We actually have a Guidance Officer in the guild, Veronica, and her two Assistants, Nil and Memmi, who is specifically there to help acclimate new people to the game and new members to the guild.

We’re called Ember Solace, and we’re on Tarnished Coast, but you can still join us even if you’re on Borlis Pass. GW2 has something called the megaserver system, which means that if you’re on a server of the same region (e.g., North America), you can still do everything except World vs. World with your guild. If you did want to get into WvW, you could always transfer (and we have a fund to help pay those costs).

We do a little bit of everything, and we’d love to show you the ropes. If you’re interested, you can visit our forums and register. Registering gives you read-access to our GW2 section, so you can scope us out and see if you’d like to apply. (We do have a brief application process — it has nothing to do with level or gear, so don’t worry — that we use to weed out trolls and elitists.) I hope you give us a try!

Synergy is a guild started by some friends with a goal to create a small community of friendly players. We aren’t interested in having 500 members where no one knows anyone else. We are currently playing Guild Wars 2 primarily on the Jade Quarry server.

For Guild Wars 2, we participate both PvE and organized PvP in both WvWvW and structured PvP. Most of us have been gaming together since the days before Guild Wars 1 and continue to do so. Because of our long standing community, you will find that it is an atmosphere where everyone knows each other and learns to play well as a well oiled machine, hence the name Synergy.

My friends and I play on Tarnished Coast and always welcome other fun oriented gamers. We mostly focus on PvE but a few of us also hang out in WvW as well.

We have our own vent server and encourage using it as it is a big plus with connecting and making friends. We actually have 3 members who are living in that frozen tundra you peeps like to call Michigan. Crazy folk indeed!

We all work and only a couple of us might be on during the weekdays but the weekend is when the beer, pizza and laughter is in no short supply. If your looking for a small casual adult guild than I hope we can fill your needs. Good luck:-)
