Guild Wars 2

I started playing WvW seriously after the change which pitted SoS against FA and TC. The format suddenly became impressively fun after the games vs CD and SBI. I feel it’s always more fun to play against people who are better than myself.

As a result I’m looking for a serious WvW guild modeled on guilds in GW1. Things I’d like:

1) Set times for everyone to try to log on, and
2) Voice communication. Not everyone needs to speak, but there should be enough banter on TS / Vent that it’s not silence more often than not.

Currently I play mostly in the evenings (7-11pm +8 GMT) on weekdays. On some weekends almost the entire day is open (7am-12am +8GMT). On other weekends things are much more restricted (7-8am on Saturday, 4pm-11pm on Sunday). I’m not always online, but I can log on if needed.

I have two level 80 characters that I can use (one Necro, one Ele), but prefer to use my Mesmer, who at time of posting is level 17 (I’m on a mission to hit level 80 purely from WvW). I’m not a commander. I’m also not an expert at WvW – I understand the basics, but not the advanced concepts.

I will represent when I’m playing WvW. If the guild is active in PvE also, I’m happy to represent all the time (but I’d like some time to test out the guild before committing).

I saw the PM; the only problem is that you guys are on SoR. There’s no easy + cheap way to switch servers, is there?

I think you’ll get a better response there. My own guild is a WvW guild however it sounds like you’re looking for a PvX guild. I’m not sure about all the different policies between all the different guilds. You may want to browse the guild profiles section: http://www.gw2sos.com/viewforum.php?f=20 and apply to the guild that suits your needs.

gw2sos.com is the sos community site for wvw coordination and community events etc. Sign up there. I am sure you will fin the right fit on SoS and don’t need to transfer. I will get in touch with couple people and give them your info as well.

Transferring costs gold or gems unfortunately ($20 worth of gems, or roughly 40 Gold I think). If you wish to stay on SoS, the other posters have linked the SoS guild wiki/page might help you out.

If you do want to transfer over to SoR, just send me a message and we can always invite you into our ranks and help you transfer over (grinding CoF p1 gets gold for transfers pretty quickly)

At current gem prices, transferring to a very high server is closer to 55 gold.

Stay on SoS. Luvpie is a great guy and super helpful.

I simply presented another alternative if Jeydra wanted to move from SoS :P

Anyways, Jeydra, if you don’t want to move servers at the end of the day, the Guild listings page listed by Avatar and LuvPie should be able to help you find a guild on SoS that suits your needs.
I know SoS has a few WvW guilds (went up against them during the SoR V SoS V TC matchup)
