Hello!

My fiancee and I have been playing gw2 for almost a couple of years now, but have taken a couple of hiatuses whenever school would become demanding. However, now that we’re done with school, we’ve started to get back into playing casually. We both have a couple of 80’s, and usually prefer running dungeons, PvE, and PvP, but we are totally open to trying other things with the guild. We’re definitely looking for a more laid back and friendly guild that would understand us taking the occasional break when needed. Being on the east coast, we’ll usually play a couple of hours every night (or every other night) starting at about 8pm ET. Definitely excited to hear what some of your guilds have to offer!

Hiya, Adam! School definitely seems to be the #1 reason people need to take a break from the game. I know you’re on Crystal Desert, but if you’d be willing to consider guilds on other servers, my guild, Ember Solace, sounds like a good fit for you and your fiancée. We’re a casual PvX guild on Tarnished Coast, and we do lots of PvE and PvP (both tPvP and some WvW). No one is required to transfer, but if they do decide to move to TC, we cover half of the transfer cost.

We’re 100% rep with an application and trial period, and we do have an activity policy, but it’s tailored for situations like yours. Members must log into the game and the forums at least once a month, but anyone can put in a Leave of Absence (post on the forums) if they’re going to be gone for awhile. LoAs are good for several months, and we have many members who put in LoAs when the semester started, and some who have LoAs because of work or computer concerns.

We have regularly scheduled events, usually in EST evening times, and spontaneous events throughout the afternoon and evening. We have 75-ish members, with about 30-55 logging in each day, and about 15-25 online during peak times.

About The Guild
Remnants of Hope was founded on June 7, 2009. Originally a Star Wars Galaxies guild, we have since moved on to play GW2, SWTOR and Wildstar, while continuing to have an active, positive presence in our games. In GW2, we currently have a group of about 15 – 20 members who play daily, with many other more casual players who pop in a few times a week, and we are looking to expand our ranks.

We not only help guild members enjoy the PvE content of GW2 but to assist them in improving and advancing their characters and personal skills within the game. We are always willing to provide advice/guidance on gearing and traiting different professions. Keep in mind that we don’t have all the answers, but we will help find them! We hope to see you in-game and in our events soon! We do dungeons, fractals, guild missions weekly, jumping puzzles, casual levelling groups, farming runs and living story content.

PvP
We encourage fun and friendly competitive gaming to both the fans of PvP gaming, and those curious about it. We are always willing to lend a hand with builds, classes, and general information about how the various forms of PvP are handled. Whether it be World vs World, Team Player vs Player, or just some mini games, the PvP Department is always striving to be a welcoming, fun, and laid back place for people to smash in a face or two!

RP
We provide our members with an immersive and fun experience for the new roleplayer to the seasoned writer alike. Whether it be in-game or on the forums, we want to promote imagination and storytelling that spans beyond just the Remnants of Hope guild borders. By working closely with other guilds, as well as our other GW2 Departments within RoH and organizing events with them, we aim for a continuous living story that people can get involved in and help to continue shaping.

Playing GW2 Socially or Casually
Although we have members doing progression fractals and working on legendaries, we also have many members who play when they have time, or enjoy the simpler pleasures in GW2 like levelling slowly or going on random adventures. We also have a very inviting approach when it comes to difficult content: many of our members are happy to bring along a “newbie” to dungeons or new content, but there’s no pressure for you to join events you aren’t interested in!

Why not give my guild a try, we are called Team Reem and are mainly a EU multiserver guild. We have a small player base (but that’s has been after we have had a total restructure of the guild) and we are looking to add new blood. We are a social guild that dabbles in everything and anything, we understand that people have real lives so we ant a 300+ member hardcore guild. We have been around since the start of the game and have vets and new players alike that can help you out.
