Hey All,
Currently Looking for a Guild/Group to call home on StormBluff Isle. I’ll try and be as descriptive for what I’m looking for as I can without writing a book. So here goes….
A little about me first:
I’m a full-time working father who has been with GW2 since head start. Been gaming a long long time and finally found a game that suits my needs. (Lack of Holy Trinity, Ever changing events, Feels like endless world of exploring, etc.) I’m a very active player. I play almost 7 days a week, only seldom do I not play. The only caveat to that is Sun-Thurs I only play about 1hr. 9:30pm EST to 10:30pm EST. Friday and Saturday tends to be my free for all nights.
Currently leveling my Engineer but I do have an 80 Guardian. Most likely will main my Engineer since I find it far my entertaining then I do the guardian. I’d go into more details about myself but why do that. Then there is nothing to learn.
What I’m looking for:
Active, any size guild/group. I’m just looking for people to be on when I play and to chat with. I don’t need people on 24/7 as you can see from my schedule I’m not on 23hrs of the day. I also don’t need people on EVERY single day I log on, but if I log on for an entire week and no one is around. Well, that’s not my description of Active.
Activities: I’m not the biggest fan of the Guild Missions at the moment, nor have I done much WvWvW. I’m thinking of doing some WvW but until my girlfriend gets her computer back I may or may not venture there. So Weekly events for me are not a big thing.
The BIGGEST things I’m loking for are “Socializing”, and the occasional “doing things together”.
Socializing: I’m a big talker. I love chatting with people while I play the game. I’m looking for a guild/group that uses Vent/TeamSpeak/Mumble by a Majority of its users. Do I understand that some people don’t, yeah I do. But I don’t want to log on or join and have there be 24 people logged in and 0 in some kind of talk program. Like I said I love talking and sorry I hate typing. I’d rather be killing things than typing. But in all seriousness, Socializing is a big thing for me. If guild/group chat is dead quiet 24/7 and no one is ever in some kind of voice chat then its probably not the place for me. I get enough of that playing by myself.
Plus if the group/guild needs a voice program I can supply that. I already have my own TeamSpeak server so yeah that’s covered.
Doing things together: This just comes from basically I like to group when I can. Now if someone needs help with a champion I’m there if I can be. Someone wants to run a dungeon, and its my night for running dungeons, yeah I’m joining. Shoot if someone wants help in PvP yeah I’ll join that too. So I expect “Some” of the same. Now do I expect someone to ALWAYs stop what they are doing to come and help kill the giant that I’m trying to kill. No, but if no one ever ever responds and again it just feels like people don’t group together at all. Well then its another set of, that’s not what I’m looking for.
So yeah that probably still looks like a book, but yeah just really looking to enjoy the game with others. Occasionally group (especially for the occasional dungeon and LS events) and really just be social with people. I love guilds with active websites and active voice programs. This applys for small groups of friends as well. I really am not big on “guild” tags. If you’ve got a group that is just missing 1 or 2 people for active regular dungeon runs or just grouping, send a message to me as well. To me even though guilds are great, I wouldn’t care if the group I hang out with on a regular basis was from 10 different guilds. Again just looking for more of a way to meet people and hang out than looking for a guild to give me something to do. I can do that myself
