Starfleet Academy Alumni [LLAP] is a brand new guild with lots of great things planned. Led by a husband and wife team, we hope to create a small, close-knit community of other “active casuals” who want to make new friends, socialize, and have fun together.
We are looking for friendly, mature, and fun people who want a home in GW2 and who are interested in helping build up a guild from the bottom. We expect that LLAP will be your main guild and ask for at least 75% representation. We believe this is essential in building the close community we strive for.
We mostly do PvE content – world events, map completion, dungeons, fractals, etc., and all organized guild activities will likely be PvE. However, we welcome members of all playstyles of all classes and builds. We have a strict no-elitism policy and couldn’t care less about the “meta" (although we both do personally care a lot about learning our classes.) We believe in playing the game to have fun, however that may be.
When we become a little more established we have plans to capture the Lost Precipice guild hall and build it up as much as possible. This is something we’re really excited about! We hope to figure out a system where core members can claim and reserve areas of the hall as their “home” of sorts, and decorate it however they wish. Our guild leader will level up scribe, and members can donate to any decorations they want made. We want this to be a cool hang-out spot that everyone can be proud of.
Weekly guild missions is something else you will have to look forward to. We also have great plans in the works for hosting fashion contests, guild lotteries, treasure hunts in the guild hall, and other fun activities.
One of the most important things to us is that our guild is a safe space for all our members. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. We require that all members are respectful and have a friendly and positive attitude. We are female-friendly, LGBT+ friendly, minority-friendly, everyone-friendly! Being a Trekkie is in no way required, we just thought it was a fun name.
