So as you may or may not have heard. We “[LUCK]” a guild of 100% PUGs have pretty much completed TD META multiple times yesterday since we finally got into an instance with us primarily rather than our usual 30 pugs following us.

It was fun, it was exciting and more importantly now we can finally work on helping people unfortunate enough to NOT have ever completed it.

This includes other guilds, pugs, etc.

I would PLEASE ask that if you do indeed decide to take part in our organized TD runs that you follow this unavoidable strict setup build for the fight.

[NO-CC-BREAK BAR]

If you do BREAK the defiance bar by using the following skills…
CHILL, FEAR, PUSH, PULL, KNOCK, CRIPPLE, BLIND, TAUNT, DAZE, STUN, SLOW, IMMOBILIZE, WEAKNESS

Each Gareth falls down for a second (literally 1 second) stops channeling his rock fall AOE, and then begins doing the following.

- AOE Knockbacks against melee players (Swipes)
- Leaping around and using a lot of high mobility skills (Lunges)
- Creates giant pink/purple clouds that downs people instantly (Creates Pheromone Clouds)
- Smacks people behind him trying to avoid Swipe (Tail Slam)

However if you don’t CC him he takes the exact same amount of damage, but most importantly he stays in the same spot and is vulnerable to stationary DPS like fire fields (Elementalist) as well as other ground based effects (such as my Coalescence of Ruin).

So in short do not setup your build to cause ANY of these effects, if at all possible.

[DPS]

This fight is very DPS time intensive you must bring the following.
- Utilities (Super Potent Sharpening Stones) or the Crystals for Condi.
- (Optional but helpful) Combat Boosters (5% Damage, 5% Reduced Damge)
- FULL PPF for Melee (Power, Precision, Ferocity) or CPP (Condi, Precision, Power) for Condi.

I only know of the setup for Warrior as I do not play any other class.

We use nothing but Greatsword.

I would also like to add that we do NOT use Teamspeak or any other forms of communication we are a very organized PUG group.

since the whole HOT is ask people to break bar

and almost every revenant skills has a CC , it is too hard for revenant to not CC, unless he just do 1111 only.

HoT still encourages you to break the bar. Even in this instance I am sure it is intended for people to break the bar to stop the AoE, its just that people have discovered that its actually easier to kill the boss by not breaking the bar.

So when r u guys going for it again n how to get taxis other than lfg?

I think it’s a good mechanic because they were forcing everything as “Hey break this bar to win! Break that bar to win!” but now it’s the total opposite where it is better an easier to not break the bar.

It’s a challenge either way and that is what people like myself really like to face.

You can whisper me in game, and I might or might not be LFGing it due to how many people actually want and NEED it, you can also just type in looking for [LUCK] TD META around 1:30pm – 6:30pm PST daily.

I see, and I appreciate that. But i’m guild-less, and I have that sitting in my inventory. Just thought I’d offer cause what better way to use it than on a guild helping me with this event. You don’t have to take it :]

Pretty sure the only use now for Guild Influence is to buff the timer on ore mining and also to transfer it into currency favor

People are gonna be sad if this tactic becomes common and all of a sudden, one day, they massively increase the damage if you don’t break him ><

It can still fail with this strategy.
It’s no different than fight him with break only difference is he stays still :P

Ah i didn’t know. Well hopefully see you then. I just bought superior sharpening stones and spicy butternut squash, ready to kill this guy.

As usual the event ended with 3/4 being killed SCAR being 1% do to overscaling.

If ONE lane is at 70% at Phase 2 it is 100% salvageable do NOT send 20 people from another lane just because your lane is slacking.

Nuhoch was 70% at Phase 2 then 25% at Phase 3 remember this for tomorrow everyone.
