Guild Wars 2

As the title suggests, I am looking for a guild, and would like to be in one that considers me more than their 301st member and pats themselves on the back for having such a large guild. No, I want to be included in things as well.

The last two guilds I have been in, I try to be active, been on their ts/vent and talk regularly in convos, but when it comes to getting dungeons or activities together, am I ever included? No, cause i’m just one of the members, not part of the “inner circle” that all helps each other out. Some common member like me? Naw, I don’t need any help.

People always compliment this game on it’s community, but I have yet to see this community everyone talks about. All I have ever seen is tiny cliques of players who help each other out and I can’t ever seem to get into any of them to save my life.

So please, help prove me wrong! I am looking for a guild that is decent in size 50+ members, must have a ts/vent (i find that it’s very important to communicate via voice in a game like this) and please please PLEASE be an inclusive guild, filled with people who would be willing to help a player, high ranked or low ranked in the guild.

I just want people to play with, friends to have, and not feel so alone in the game at all times :-(

Aww, Hobbit… It’s awful that you’ve had such bad experiences in guilds. =\ I really feel like my guild is different, and maybe you’d consider checking us out? We’re called Ember Solace, and we’re a PvX guild on Tarnished Coast (hopefully you’re on an NA server). We’re 100% rep, specifically to help foster community and help everyone get to know each other and stay committed to each other. We have an application to weed out trolls and elitists, and we have a trial period to make sure we’re a good fit for you and you’re a good fit for us.

We use TS3, and we currently have about 75 members, with 30-50 logging in each day, and 15-25 on during peak times (EST evenings). We have regularly-scheduled events nearly every day, and plenty of spontaneous events, too. (Tonight was Guild Missions — we’re fully upgraded — and team PvP, for example.)

We love new people, and even have a Guidance Team (Vero, Nil, and Memmi) who enjoy showing people the ropes and helping people adjust to the guild and find friends. =)

I currently lead a PvX guild on Yak’s Bend (but we accept members from other servers). We are a fairly casual guild of around 150 members most active in the evenings. We try to encourage all members to be social and be included on our guild runs. We also encourage people to be on teamspeak with us every evening and maintain an active social community there. It is our goal is to be an all inclusive guild and include everyone. That being said, we expect members to meet us half way and take an initiative to be social and speak up when they would like to be included.

You will get the most out of your guild experience here if you like being on Teamspeak. Teamspeak is where most of the guild runs are announced and planned before they reach guild chat and are on a first come first serve basis. We do not discriminate on any basis such as build, class, gear, experience or rank.

Our current focus right now is on the living story. We do the story, the achievements, and host map instances together. We also manage to go our and do a few dungeons or a fractal on nearly a daily basis.

Based on your post I think you would be a good fit for us as we look for quality membership over quantity. It sounds like you want to be a part of something rather than just take up roster space. We perfer and seek out players like you over players to just sit on our roster and never talk.

You might want to consider smaller guilds if you are looking to be included. Large guilds tend to have more cliques, not per se because the people in it are bad, but there are too many people to be social with all the time and cliques kinda form automatically.

About The Guild
Remnants of Hope was founded on June 7, 2009. Originally a Star Wars Galaxies guild, we have since moved on to play GW2, SWTOR and Wildstar, while continuing to have an active, positive presence in our games. We not only help guild members enjoy the PvE content of GW2 but to assist them in improving and advancing their characters and personal skills within the game. We are always willing to provide advice/guidance on gearing and traiting different professions. Keep in mind that we don’t have all the answers, but we will help find them! We hope to see you in-game and in our events soon! We do dungeons, fractals, guild missions weekly, jumping puzzles, casual levelling groups, farming runs and living story content.

PvP
We encourage fun and friendly competitive gaming to both the fans of PvP gaming, and those curious about it. We are always willing to lend a hand with builds, classes, and general information about how the various forms of PvP are handled. Whether it be World vs World, Team Player vs Player, or just some mini games, the PvP Department is always striving to be a welcoming, fun, and laid back place for people to smash in a face or two!

RP
We provide our members with an immersive and fun experience for the new roleplayer to the seasoned writer alike. Whether it be in-game or on the forums, we want to promote imagination and storytelling that spans beyond just the Remnants of Hope guild borders. By working closely with other guilds, as well as our other GW2 Departments within RoH and organizing events with them, we aim for a continuous living story that people can get involved in and help to continue shaping.

Playing GW2 Socially or Casually
Although we have members doing progression fractals and working on legendaries, we also have many members who play when they have time, or enjoy the simpler pleasures in GW2 like levelling slowly or going on random adventures. We also have a very inviting approach when it comes to difficult content: many of our members are happy to bring along a “newbie” to dungeons or new content, but there’s no pressure for you to join events you aren’t interested in!
