• First off, let me say, I am currently on Crystal Desert, but nothing is holding me here, I am ready, willing and able to transfer servers, granted I find a guild that suits my needs, thus why the topic does not specify a server.

So, this guild thing, it’s getting rather exhausting finding a guild, running into the same ol’ crap and then having to keep hopping from one guild to the next. I’m currently guildless and thought maybe I’d try the boards, maybe more guilds would see this and I could possibly find what I’m really looking for.

First off, let me explain what I mean bout the “same ol’ crap”, by that, I mean there being a core group of players in the guild, mainly guild leaders/officers, who do everything, but only with each other, they never bother to invite anyone else, and really, why have anyone else in your guild if you’re gonna be selfish bout what you do and when you do it, and then only do it with that one small core group. Continuing with that train of thought, I have been in both big and small guilds since this game launched, and one other thing that just absolutely irks me is the fact that most guilds want me to do things on their schedule, which is fine, but whenever I ask to do something I’m lucky if anyone responds…..

So, having explained that, I think you may now understand where I am coming from when I say that I am looking for a guild where I will actually matter, where I can get a group for a dungeon with guild people when I want to do it, as I am willing to do it on other people’s schedules too. A guild that is active and preferably mainly focused on PvE.

I am a HUGE lore hound and love anything and everything related to lore in this game, so finding a guild that not only does dungeon runs but is ok with me not skipping every dang cutscene cause I actually want to hear the story, at least once, that would be amazing.

Anyway, not that I have my hopes set high or anything like that, just thought I’d post on here see if maybe I actually get a response from a guild that can meet my expectations, if not, I can get by with the LFG tool.

Binary Alliance is a guild of friends and fun lovers on Crystal Desert. We have a very strong online family feeling in the guild, we’re mostly in our 20s and 30s, laid back, and enjoy playing all parts of the game. We pride ourselves on being able to have a great guild culture where we can all have fun while still demonstrating great skill. We tend to be a little bit more PvE active currently, but are wanting new members who are really into WvW, WE usually do dungeon runs most nights, do not have a particular set dungeon that we do. It depends on guild member needs. Most of us are fairly high level for fractals ranging from level 30+, as well as having some members up to the 50-60’s

First off, let me say that sadly, your experience as detailed in your post is very similar to what I experienced before finding the guild I am in now. It is a smaller guild on Yak’s Bend and we are certainly interested in making new friends that enjoy the game as much as we do in addition to having a real life also. 1) We like to hang out with mature players, however, we don’t care if you are 16 or 60; acting like a responsible and mature person gets you a lot further along both in the game and in real life.

2) We emphasize respect. Let’s face it; we all are busy and our game time and family time is important. We cherish the time we get to play and socialize but are always glad to lend a hand if you’re stuck at a hard spot killing that champion. Just ask; we’ll help as soon as we can. Say thanks. Care about your guildmates and treat them like you want to be treated.

3) Drama is not tolerated. We all have real lives and enough drama in them. We play with our friends to take a break from real life. Please leave your drama at the door before entering.

4) We realize that there are all kinds of people with all kinds of beliefs. There is a difference in discussing or sharing your beliefs and proposing that yours are the right or only ones. By all means feel free to discuss the mysteries of the universe with us openly and without judgments from your fellow guildees.

5) Our guild uses Raidcall for group and guild events. You can find the group id on our guild page, main tab once you join. We certainly encourage you to try it out as we are typically online sharing stories and relaxing. We use it also for group and guild events because hey, we can’t swing a sword and type at the same time.

6) Casual is the goal – Even though we are currently working on PVE content and branching into WVW once we have more active members, we are striving to maintain a casual atmosphere overall. This is a game and it’s meant to be fun and enjoyed in good measure.

Hey Web, you sort of sound like my husband and myself. We value the lore, we watch the cutscenese, we enjoy the story (even if sometimes it’s not presented the best). The game isn’t about how fast you can complete it, or how fast you can faceroll and dungeon. It’s about having fun and enjoying the world (and the people around you).

Shadow Sworn Warriors is a PvE oriented guild on Anvil Rock. We’re small, quirky, a little bit perverted (but what adult isn’t?), and simply enjoy kicking back and being ourselves. We don’t have any set ‘time period’ that our members have to be on, etc. We’re mostly nights and weekends players, since most of us have work or school or families. Jaded [Jade] is a fairly well established casual PvX guild that has been on Darkhaven since launch.

Our leaders have a lot of experience with mmos and have been together for years. We are a family-style guild looking to form long-term friendships through PvE and PvP. We have a brand new website! a Facebook and a vent (however we use the server teamspeak for wvw).

World Events – We are always running out to the dragons or other world bosses and we do the Orr temples weekly for fun and loot.
Missions – All of our missions are unlocked and we do them every sunday night.
