Hi,

I downloaded the game yesterday, so am without any real experience yet. I did play the first installment of Guildwars, still do from time to time.
I am based out of the East Coast, looking for a Guild that focusses on PvE mainly. I would prefer a more mature Guild, I am a father, husband, and provider that does not have hours upon hours during the day to game.

I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

• We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2). Most of our GW2 members are older with careers, and many have families and children.

• We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Additionally, because we are casual our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. People will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through things no matter how basic or advanced.

• We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

• Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum.

This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

• Stormbluff Isles – We are active on SBI, but allow guesting. Don’t forget you can delete all your chars for a free transfer.
• Mature – Our ages range from 18 – 30+.
• Active – Recruiting all time zones. We have 60+ members. Most active around 10PM+- EST.
• Website – Our site is hosted by Enjin. Used to share information and promote our events.
• Community Oriented – We are community first, guild second. We look for community oriented members.
• Voice Comms – We use Mumble & Enjin chat via Overwolf overlay to communicate across multiple games.
• Live Streamers – We promote our Twitch streamers. Our streamers often do giveaways.
• Newbie Friendly – We are very helpful and always welcome new players.

In-Game Activity

• WvW – Weekly WvW night. We run in small groups.
• sPvP – Not much sPvP activity but we will support anyone wanting to start a team.
• Leveling – We often team up with and help our lower levels.
• Dungeons – Eager to run Dungeons, often done nightly.
• Fractals – Same as above. Our most active runners are level 10+-.
• World Bosses – We often report active bosses and kill most of them on a nightly basis.
• Missions – Actively unlocking missions.
• Representing – We do not require 100% representation, but atleast 75+-%.

Meeting of the Lost Minds [MLM], established 3/14/2007 in GW1, has always been a meeting place for casual yet experienced, friendly, intelligent(?), mature(erm…) adults. Our average age is probably around 30, and we’re mainly scattered throughout North America. We enjoy an offbeat sense of humor, but usually keep it clean. Ish.

If you’re looking for a guild to run dungeons and fractals 24/7, we’re not for you.

If you’re looking for a place to play with friendly, competent adults in a relaxed, FUN atmosphere, we might be for you.

We’re all adults with lives, so individually our play times may be a bit sporadic. We do use our website to schedule nightly outings such as the obligatory dungeons/fractals/missions, but also more generalized PvE such as guild zergs through both high-end and newbie zones. We mix it up with contests and other events, and on Saturdays we encourage people to grab their favorite adult beverage, hop on Ventrilo, and enjoy the company of fellow guildies.

I can’t stress enough that while we have some very skilled, helpful, knowledgeable players, this is more a social guild than anything. No drama, no elitism.

Your homeworld doesn’t matter to us if ours doesn’t matter to you. We’re based on the Crystal Desert server, but being a predominantly PvE guild we have people scattered on numerous servers.

Im asking because I still have a lot to do in that game as well (I have all chapters of GW1) and my current guild there is not active at all.

I’m not sure whether or not you’ve found a guild already, but I thought I should mention ours as I think you would make a great fit.

Most of our members are parents and realize that free time to jump into a game isn’t always available. One of our biggest policies is that real life always comes first and no one is discriminated against because of how much time they can spend in game.

About us:

Just Us Grown ups [JUGs] is a very friendly, drama-free guild which is comprised of people 30 yr.s old and older (our minimum required age is 25).

We are on the Jade Quarry server which is one of the three top-ranked servers for WvW. It’s also a high population PvE server and players from all other servers come to ours to participate in it’s events.

We have an even mix of male and female players and welcome both new and veteran players. We place a high value on community. We have a great website and a fully upgraded guild of close to 200 members.

I understand what you mean, it can be harder for us when we have commitments like that, i myself work full time so my time is limited. My guild would be great even if you want to just play casually

The Silver Fox Company [SFC] is a new guild recruiting, we focus on PvE atm with the possibility to venture into PvP later, the guild is structured a little differently than most in a way that there isnt particularly a large ranking system you can move up, but more a rank that would be just for you, right at this moment this is the ranks we have:
The SFC has a few ranks at the moment with more hopefully coming out soon, these are:
President – That would be the owner of the company i.e me
Leaders – People who have proven to help the guild move forward, choosing upgrades and deciding on guild actions
Guards – A place for all the muscle heads who do their talking with swords, You defend the guild and DESTROY its enemies ^.^ other than that to aid other members
Crafters – Members whose role is crafting (no this doesn’t mean you need to sit at town all day) Exploring the world gathering ingredients and items and crafting weapons and items for the guild, aiding others in the guild to become stronger.
Chefs – Players who excel at cooking, creating dyes and feasts for the guild, also requiring you to explore the world for ingredients. Be wary you don’t want to mess with a good chef!
Apprentices – Prospective members, here is where you prove yourself before becoming a full fledged member and show off the guild flag
