Hail Adventurers!

I know this is a bit of a long post, but it would mean a lot to me if you gave it more than just a glance!

I’m a new player to the game. Today’s my fourth day playing, and I’ve grown to enjoy the vast exploration this game has to offer. While I tend to avoid MMORPG’s due to how addicted I tend to get towards them, this is one I can’t help but indulge.

I am, as the title of this thread states, looking for a guild. The qualities I am looking for in a guild are as follows.

- Small to Medium Size: I’m looking for a newer, smaller guild. While all guilds will have a sort of inner circle, I find newer and smaller guilds to have a more open inner circle while large guilds have long since established an impenetrable inner circle of main higher-up members. Those members get most of the attention, and players not in that circle are easily disposable. By joining a smaller guild, I hope to help lay the groundwork for a success-driven team-working growing guild.
Active: If your guild has 100 members in it, and only 5 or 6 are online at a given time, your guild is not the guild for me. When I log in, I’d like to see not only a thriving community, but the same people online as I saw yesterday. Making friends in such a guild becomes much easier and more rewarding. Also, I’m looking for a guild based solely in GW2, and not a guild that plays several different games.
Knowledgeable: As a new player to the game, I still have a myriad of unanswered questions. While I don’t want be “that one guy who asks way too many questions,” I do want to be “that one guy who’s really catching on to things quickly.” I do tend to learn quickly, and I like to know everything I can about a game. I like to be a know-it-all in games like this, and getting to that point is already somewhat of a goal.
Helpful: I’m not going to be the guy who always asks for help, but a guild that keeps world-boss spawns on the alert and takes initiative to helping guild-mates get some good loot opportunities every once in a while is the kind of community I want to be a part of!
Laid Back: I’m looking for a guild that doesn’t have a strict set of heavily-enforced bullet-pointed rules restricting the guild-chat. I’m looking for a guild where lulz may ensure, sarcasm and humor is appreciated, and where its members can freely talk to one-another.
Mature: I’m looking for an 18+ community, to put simply. It’s just better that way. Less drama, more friendly.
Social: A chatty and social guild-chat is exactly what I’m looking for. Not the kind of guild-chat with several-hour-long periods of silence. I can sometimes be a conversationalist, and I like to see a guild of players that want to socialize.

Please let me know what traits from the list above your guild exhibits. I want nothing more than to find a perfect match, but a close fit is still encouraged. I want to find a guild that makes me want to stay for the long haul!

Get to know me just a little bit.

- I’m 23, and a complete no-life at the moment. Video games ftw.
– I absolutely love action RPGs like PoE and D3 etc. Those are probably my favorite kinds of games. Obviously since those games require an ability to grind hard, I plan on grinding GW2 pretty hard too.
– My timezone is EST. I will most often be online until about 3:00am my time, and will log on at some various point throughout the day.
– I have a very sarcastic and random sense of humor. My IGN in game is Literallykatyperry, because I made my character to look just like Katy Perry. Sometimes I even say random Katy Perry catch-phrases to people in game just to see their reaction.
– I’m poor. Please don’t expect me to be able to buy gems in game for anything.
– Other than play GW2, I like to play Magic: the Gathering, watch livestreams on twitch, and spend way too much time on netflix and youtube. I’m also not quite finished playing some ARPGs, and will play those every now and then. Expect that I will nevertheless log at least 5 hours of gametime into GW2 per day, seven days a week.
– I do indeed have teamspeak and raidcall, and am ready/able get in there, but having one of these features in your guild is 100% not a necessity.

I hope you were able to take the time to look over this entire post, and if you did, thank you very much. I do very much appreciate it. You can add me in game if you’d like to talk to me. I’m Ahzmun.9708. Alternatively, and just as well, you can post here and rest assured that I will read your post in a timely manner.

By the way, my home world is in Fort Aspenwood. Would really be amazing if your guild was in FA as well. I know it wouldn’t be too difficult for me to get back these four slow days of progress, but I have a friend in real life on this server who has been playing a while and doesn’t really want to leave his current guild, nor this server.

Hail Adventurers!

I know this is a bit of a long post, but it would mean a lot to me if you gave it more than just a glance!

Today is your 4th day.

- Active: If your guild has 100 members in it, and only 5 or 6 are online at a given time, your guild is not the guild for me. When I log in, I’d like to see not only a thriving community, but the same people online as I saw yesterday. Making friends in such a guild becomes much easier and more rewarding. Hmmmm 4th day.

- Helpful: I’m not going to be the guy who always asks for help, but a guild that keeps world-boss spawns on the alert and takes initiative to helping guild-mates get some good loot…

4th day and you are already talking about loot, boss respawn timers and guild active rates.

- I’m poor. Please don’t expect me to be able to buy gems in game for anything..

Again, this is your 4th day… atleast 5 hours of gametime into GW2. You want a guild that focus on GW2 and not other games but you have “some ARPGS” that you are not finished with and will occasionally go back? Fair enough…

Good luck finding a guild!

I promised 5 hours a day minimum, 7 days a week (35 promised hours of activity per week). Yesterday I was on for about 12 hours. The day before that, probably somewhere around 10. I know I’m new, but why join a guild that I won’t be happy with?

“Good luck finding a guild!

Thanks. Have had two pretty solid offers so far.
