Hi!

I’m a returning player after a 10 month hiatus and when I play MMORPG’s I desperately need socialization. I was looking for a guild where it was a safe place to be myself in a relaxed LGBT friendly environment. After this long break I kind of forgot a couple things (well, actually a lot of things) about the game so I’m still kind of nebbish, however, I pick up on things quick. Let me know if there’s any LGBT guilds recruiting! I prefer something not too big where I feel like I would get lost in, but something not too small that disbands only after a week.

Hello, Insomnics! First, welcome back to GW2! That idea of a safe space is super important to me, and I tried to find it in other guilds but eventually decided the best way to ensure the safe space was to create my own guild with some friends. Our guild name is Ember Solace, and we’re a small guild that happens to specialize in being an LGBTQ guild and safe space, plus we love helping new members with everything from personal stories to dungeons to achievements. (Right now, we’re really enjoying the Toypocalypse stuffs for Wintersday, but we’re game for a lot of different things.) If you’re interested, you can check out our recruitment post (it has our Purpose statement so you can get a feel for us) or stop by our forums (we have an application process to weed out trolls and other unsafe people xD ). Anyway, 10 months is a big break, but we’d love to help fill you in on what’s been going on, from Living Story stuff to profession changes, so I hope we hear from you soon! ^^

Welcome back to the land of Tyria. My humble little guild might be the right home for you. We’re called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP, LGBT friendly family on Tarnished Coast. I count myself as an ally, and the other members of our leadership are community members themselves. There are also quite a few other members in the community too.

Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP and we do have our own arena. We also have a variety of member-hosted events that change every week. Knowledge of and/ or participation in RP is not required. We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure to join in.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family and that they’re appreciated. We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can.

Don’t worry about trying to transfer right away or even at all if you’re not on Tarnished Coast (unless you’re on an EU server, then it gets complicated). Feel free to guest with us as long as you want. You’ll still be able to join with us for dungeons and even Fractals (which I will be more than happy to teach). We don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc either. If you decide you want to transfer, we’ll help you get the funds you need to do so.

There is also no requirement to be representing us at all times. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.
