I have been with Eredon Terrace since I first joined in December of last year. I have been through Sorrow’s Furnace dominating ET and FC for months up until the new systems of matching up servers against each other. I had hoped this would be a chance to turn our server around, but ET has still remained either 2nd or 3rd in each match despite all the extra effort we put in. ET has been outmanned on a daily basis in EB and even our own BL; usually our entire server could be grouped together and still be smaller than a SF zerg. Eredon Terrace has fierce fighters who can hold their own up until a 1v2 becomes a 1v50, or 1v5 when up against other smaller servers who rely on combat expertise rather than numbers.

Eredon Terrace used to take pride in the PvE community, but even that has faded to the point that people only show up for a few world bosses, and other servers now clearly have more advanced dungeon runners. I can handle our horrible PvE with guesting and group-finders, but I really would love to find a new server where WvW is a rewarding experience and not just a constant struggle for scraps.

I have 5 fully geared level 80s and world completion on 2 of them, I have a varied schedule irl, I am no longer part of a guild, I enjoy PvE and WvW equally, but have become disenchanted with WvW to the point that I no longer enjoy being steamrolled by under-levelled zergs. I would like to be in a server that uses strategy and isn’t chronically outmanned.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I understand where you are coming from. I was on DR from the day I started playing and just recently moved to SBI due to some of the same reasons you listed. We’ve fought each other on our respective servers in the past, so I probably don’t need to go in to more details.

You might find what you are looking for on Stormbluff Isle. I spent a lot of time researching servers and it came down to SBI or SOS. If you want to read posts from several severs in regards to what I was looking for, here is my “looking for a new home” thread from a couple weeks ago:

You might also be happy here because several DR, FC, and even DH players/guilds have moved over, so you have people here that know what it is like to be near the bottom and have learned to adapt when the odds are against them.

My guild and server would love to have you, IoJ has been growing more and more recently and we have a ton of guilds around that contribute to the server. Strong oceanic presense, organized zergs using voice comms and much more

I speak for my guild, if you’re interesed we could cover a percentage of the transfer fee by having guildies volunteerly donate gold. We do daily wvw teams and currently practicing multiple strategies and synergizing builds to work together as a team.

We’re also a PvX guild, doing weekly guild missions which are a ton of fun and really rewarding, and daily dungeon running for monies

I recommend taking a tour of different servers. I also transferred out of ET for the same reasons you are listing. I didn’t find what I was looking for on other servers and eventually came back home to ET. It was nice to vacation and I learned a lot during my transfers. There’s a lot to be said to experiencing different types of WvW.

My experience is that a good guild is key to having a good experience on any server. I can come in last place as long as I have good friends to play with. It may be a better idea to find a good guild and transfer to their server.

In any case, I wish you the best of luck. (Also I think SBI is going to be first on the silver league so that is something to be considered.)

Also JQ is the best PvE server. I tried TC too but JQ is better. :P

Join us on the Henge of Denravi! We’ve taken the tumble like you guys, but have since progressed slowly but steadily to rank 18. We’ve dedicated recent weeks to training our guilds and pugs to group strategy, since gaining a couple of higher tier commanders, some of whom were on hod at the start. If you come now, you could be a part of those classes, and a movement to better ourselves as a server and a community.

If you’re sourcing for a guild, there are a couple of really good wvw oriented guilds here. My own guild, the Charter Vanguard [CV] is more an all rounder, and our community of 300 is international. That might suit your varied hours gameplay time. We have 9years of GW history behind us, and the structure is fairly stable. Visit us at cv.englishmist.com.

I think the entire ET server should transfer to FC. Hey, we come from similar backgrounds, and its created a hardcore group of very talented WvW people. FC has a nice mix of very good PvP players and master strategists who understand the nuance of the game.

I know ET has some decent players like this, just not enough of them to be competitive, FC still suffers from the same issue, but I bet if you combined the two, we would be tier 5 in no time.

LOL. If there had to be a server merge, I like the idea of FC + ET. However, may I point out that ET currently has a higher rating so perhaps FC should transfer to ET.

PS: I miss you guys. I transferred back to ET and missed fighting FC just the week prior. What will I do without my FC fix?
