Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

I’m looking for a new active guild to join… he’s my story:

I started playing GW2 at release, but had to take a break after Halloween last year due to RL. I came back in June of this year and have been having a BLAST. I finally made some good friends in the game and joined their guild. The problem is that their guild is not very big or very active. I really, really enjoy playing with these people and don’t want to stop – but they just don’t play enough for my level of interest. My 3 lvl 80’s are much further along than any of theirs either. I want to run guild missions (never tried), Fractals (never tried), dungeons, world bosses, events in Orr & I love helping new players on lower level maps.

So I’ve come here to find an active guild that is accepting new players – but a guild that won’t ask for 100% of my rep time. I would still like to represent my original guild at least 50% of the time.

About me:
• Server: Tarnished Coast
• 38 years old, Male – been playing RPG’s for many, many years.
• North America (Pacific Coast Time)
• Playtime: 5pm-9pm Weeknights PST
12-6pm weekend PST
• Interests: PVE, Dungeons, Events, Fractals (wanna learn), some WvW & PVP

I consider myself a very friendly and patient guy – I’d much rather help someone than argue with them about who’s right!

We sound like a great fit with the exception that we do ask for 100% rep as we put A LOT of time and effort into our members and strive for cohesion and foundation. We simply found that missing out on the day to day chat of the guild and its members lessens these goals. The majority of guilds that are based around community ask for 100% representation because when you are not repping them its like your not even in thier guild. They may as well remove you from the roster. My suggestion would be to keep your friends on your friends list and play with them still, but give your new guild your loyalty. Or, try to get your friends to merge with/join another guild to help with the activity ^^

My guild is called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP and we do have our own arena. Knowledge of and/ or participation in RP is not required. We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time.

We are currently working on building up a solid core of pve players, but there are still a few around who would be more than happy to help teach you if you want to learn and have a little patience. We enjoy helping each other and doing things together when possible. All you have to do is ask if you need help with something and we’ll do our best to come to your aid. I really enjoy Fractals and would be glad to help you learn them too.

There is also no requirement to be representing us at all times. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.
