Hiya Wiseman,

While Eredon Terrace might be the furthest away from t1, you might find what you are looking for on ET. While we certainly aren’t a glamorous server to be on, we are all quite friendly and believe it or not have many outstanding players.

All of our guilds focus on having fun first but these guilds still try their best at the same time. We do have competitive and focused guilds but even they are a blast to run with as they crack jokes and mess around with the best of em.

I’d warn you that playing on ET outside of primetime (5pm-11pm pst or so) can be quite rough but we are trying to fill the coverage gap in any way we can. What ET lacks in numbers, we make up for with strategy and just darn good pvp players. from 2v5 to 15v30 or further we win a frequent amount of these fights.

One thing you won’t get a ton of as well I’m afraid is large server fluctuations but if you want a server where 1 player can make a dramatic difference and do it while relaxing and having a good time, consider ET.

You can at least delete all characters on a new account and transfer for free in order to find the right server. Variability is going to be based on how close the glicko rating is to servers across tiers. The diff between rank 13 and 14 is pretty wide so you may have to go with either a server above rank 13 or below rank 14. Another option is to consider an EU server since their rating differences across ranks tends to be smaller.

I have an acct on JQ and one on AR. couldn’t recommend this strategy more. would recommend opening the acct on as low a tier a server as possible. roaming is usually excellent on any of the bottom 4 servers. cant go wrong. roaming on the lower tier server when everything is queued up is a great alternative imo. best of both worlds.

Thank you for the recommendations! I actually first started on AR when the game first came out but transferred after a couple months to learn more about WvW. I have my alt account exploring DR and FA so far. I always had an affinity to “Fort Engineer” [NERF] in FA after running into a team of all Engis that were super fun to fight against. (I mostly play Engi myself). Both of these worlds seem to be in a sort of mid range area and seem to have plenty of competition both above and below them in rank. I kind of think FA is a little higher in rank than I would prefer for an Alt account though…but an Engineer Guild is just so tempting haha

Wiseman, I’m not sure what tier you’re looking at, but if FA is a bit too high up for you, especially since they’ll soon be back in T2,

I would recommend BP or NSP for a second account.

I’m honestly just looking for a tier that has a WvW presence, no queues, no big perma zergs, small havoc crews but plenty of solo roamers, occasionally dead time zones and plenty of flexibility in the server rankings to compete against many different servers. I want a break from the constant zerging. There really isn’t too much solo roaming in T1 lately since there are SO Many randoms everywhere and most people roam with 3-5 other people. Most of the time they seem to always be Nike Warrior, Thief, Mesmer combos. I just want a break from the over populated servers with meta class play style and get some variation going. If I find a fun server I may possibly just transfer my main account at this point. I didn’t really want to be in T1 in the first place and with the mega server system TC’s funny pve ambiance is sort of disappearing (which is too bad).

Basically I’m just looking for a fun lighthearted server with lots of wiggle room in rankings.

You don’t have to be on FA to join NERF, only if you want to run in WvW with us sometime.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. dont know too much about the mid tiers since i dont play there but pretty sure you can pick any of the bottom 2 tiers and find exactly what you’re looking for there.
