Guild Wars 2

So here’s the deal; I played the game up to level 51 or so on its release and ended up quitting for one reason or another (can’t remember why exactly,) but I’ve recently started playing again (started up a new character and everything to give myself a refresher,) and I’d like to have a guild to spend the time with.

The problem is, I have a work schedule that is heavily, heavily prohibitive towards most organized guild activities (I generally work from 4pm-1am est, give or take a few hours depending on how busy we are and what day it is,) and the only days I can really play approaching normal hours are my days off and honestly – I just quit FFXIV recently, I did the hardcore raid thing a lot in that game, I’ve done the hardcore thing in games prior, and I really just don’t want to dedicate that much time and energy to gearing up and what not.

All that said, I’d still like an active community to share my time with while I do play the game. I’m always up for content when I’m on, I’m very much the opposite of an MMO baby, I’ve got every voice chat program under the sun downloaded on to my computer and I’ll definitely hang and be active when I can – but I can’t promise a level 80 toon right off the bat, and I can’t promise my availability.

Okay. So we are the Symphonic Scream [Symf]
we are Tier 6
so we have almost all the upgrades. But still working on the merits

we constantly run bonuses
and we are very sociable.

The guild leader disagrees with elitists who are openly impatient with new players.
needless to say, we have plenty of veteran members as well.

We do not expect our members to turn the game into their life. Because its just a game, and there is RL.

rep is optional unless you want rank.

Another thing is we have a lot of variety
from lvl 80’s who are very good at dying, to 11k AP players.
We often find ourselves getting a full party of guild members whenever we do activites

Some of our members consider the guild as a family or clan.
We do have serious goals, but our main focus is to literally enjoy ourselves.

Heya, Mirelin. Welcome back to Tyria! Your work schedule and desire for a casual environment sound like you might be a good fit with my guild, Ember Solace. We’re a casual, PvX guild on Tarnished Coast (but no one is required to transfer).

Most of our scheduled events do take place during the times that you typically work, but no one is required to attend specific things. Our activity policy is just that you rep us 100% and log into the game and our guild forums at least once a month. That’s it. =)

We have several PST and UK players who are active during daytime/late night EST, so there would be people online for you to talk to and hang out with. And even though most of the scheduled stuff happens during your work, there are always people doing spontaneous things like Fractals, holiday content (lots of Labyrinth stuff lately), map exploration, etc.

Also, we have active forums with social activities such as our weekly Riddle Me This contest (GW2-themed riddles) and major prize-winning opportunities with holiday stuff. Like right now, our Social Officer, Kaz, is hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest (IRL pumpkins) with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes of 120, 95, and 70 gold, respectively. And there’s a Halloween Costume Contest (in-game costumes for your character) with 2 prizes of 100 gold each. So there are lots of ways to get involved and have fun with the guild. ^^

Anyway, if you’re interested, we have an application and a trial period. I promise we aren’t hardcore — the app is to weed out elitists and trolls, and the trial period is to make sure we’re a good fit for you and you’re a good fit for us with a no-harm, no-foul kind of thing where you can test drive us. =) If you register on our forums, you get read-access to our GW2 section, so you can scope out how we treat each other, check out our Weekly Scheduled Events thread, and get a general vibe for our community. That way you can see if you think we’d be close enough to what you’re looking for, to decide if you wanna apply.

Synergy is a guild started by some friends with a goal to create a small community of friendly players. We aren’t interested in having 500 members where no one knows anyone else. We are currently playing Guild Wars 2 primarily on the Jade Quarry server.

For Guild Wars 2, we participate both PvE and organized PvP in both WvWvW and structured PvP. Most of us have been gaming together since the days before Guild Wars 1 and continue to do so. Because of our long standing community, you will find that it is an atmosphere where everyone knows each other and learns to play well as a well oiled machine, hence the name Synergy.
