Guild Wars 2

Hey all,

This is honestly a tough topic for me to write because it’s required quite a bit of introspection to get a handle on what I truly want in a guild and also what I can provide to one. At its heart, Guild Wars 2 is a social game. Folks get together to conquer objectives, to laugh together. I lost sight of that after a previous guild of mine, TVB, broke up. I thought I could avoid the terrifying prospect of meeting new friends by indulging my need to solo content, to pursue individual goals. During that time, I bounced from a couple of different guilds, but never really felt at home. I needed to do some soul searching and reclaim a place in a social circle in what is still my favorite game.

I am a 30 year old Director of analytics and hail from the Midwest. I coach Ultimate Frisbee in my free time and count myself among gaming fanatics. I have always loved testing my skills and theory-crafting in anything I do. Guild Wars 2 is no exception! I get a kick (not to mention a lot of data) from routinely beating up the training golem looking to squeeze out that extra 50 DPS where I can get it.

What am I looking for in a guild?

This isn’t simple for me to answer, but I would start with a PvE focus. I do not PvP or WvW, so server does not matter to me. Fractals and raids would be nice but not required. If you need to gear check, my efficiency link is below:

An active community is a non-negotiable. I really want to get out of my proverbial shell and meet people! I do not take well to crude humor and severe negativity. While I know it can be cathartic to routinely complain about the game and about life, I appreciate a guild that keeps things upbeat.

A couple other fellow theory-crafters in the guild would be fantastic.

*Full ascended characters across all classes, keeping up with the Fractal and Raid metas
*Reliable, NA evening hours. I have never missed a login bonus!
*A desire to make everyone around me better
