I’ve been on SoS for a long time, I saw the server rise to T1 and drop to whatever Tier we are in now.

I read that 4 major guilds left the server (to JQ I think). By the time I can play WvW (CST 3pm-ish)the server is pretty dead, there are times when we don’t even have a commander in EB.

I’m looking to transfer to another server that has a pretty active WvW community and a good PvE community.

Right now I’m on [TS] Shatter Inc. and I LOVE the PvE community, but not a lot of them do WvW, which is what I like to do. They do guild missions every saturday after restart and repeat them sever times along the week so that people with different time zones can get to do them. 400+ members. They’re pretty much the only thing that has held me back on transfering, but it’s reached a point where I really need a transfer.

So that’s pretty much what I’m looking for:

Active PvE community.
Good WvW coverage and that’s getting good, close fights with other servers.
Preferably a Guild that does both.
Not looking for a “winning” server, just want to have some good fun.

I don’t know if T1 servers are the right choice, I don’t know how long queue times get on restarts (I can tolerate 15/20min), so that’s something to take note of.

I won’t change immediately because I still have to save a lot of gold to afford it, but it would be nice to have a motivation do get more.

You are mistaken. Only LeeT and FoE (which was a recent transfer to SoS) have moved to JQ. Outside of this alot of guilds are currently working on getting the server ts3 and server site back up to bring the militia coordination up again. If you play mostly during CST US check us out at emerald-fang.com. All we do is wvw and guild missions. Stick with SoS and have fun.

FYI:
One of the reasons our NA population isn’t in WvW right now is matchup with TC. They have huge numbers and some of the fairweather players don’t play with constantly being outnumbered and if the ppt is low.

Also last point. Each server outside of T1 and low coverage times where we will be outmanned etc. SoS has decent Oceanic but a lower NA. It is easier to get NA then Oceanic. We have had 4-5 guilds transfer to SoS over the last month or so and have gone from 12th position to 7 now and might be 6 in couple matchups. Also several guilds are looking at transferring to SoS as a option.

Based on your criteria of an active pve community and balanced wvw fights, the best tier to look at is T4-6. I personally recommend Yak’s Bend. They have a large pve community and a solid wvw force to match. They are also not ranked as high as SoS so you won’t have to worry about being matched against T1-2 servers.

If by restarts, you mean resets, don’t come to SoR. On resets the queues are ridiculous. It would go for around two hours on every bl. Non-reset nights, on cst, we usually have queues on all maps, so I doubt SoR is for you. Your best bet is to stay on SoS. They are good people and are just getting shafted by rng.
