[MEAN] is opening up recruiting again on Darkhaven. We are a well-established zerg-busting/GvG guild that has been on Darkhaven since launch. MEAN has been a gaming community for even longer (10 years) and we have previously been the top PvP guild in games such as City of Heroes, Warhammer Online and ArcheAge.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for hardcore WvW players who want to be the best, because that’s what MEAN aims to be.

While we’re willing to teach new players how to WvW, we prefer that members who join us already have fully-geared characters and some experience on the battlefield.

We are also looking for people who prefer to rep only one WvW guild. While we don’t require 100% rep, we expect our members to take pride in the fact that they’re in MEAN, and to rep us before any other guild when in WvW.

At this time, we are only looking for players who have mics and can use Teamspeak.

What can we offer you?

We are a fights-focused guild that raids almost every night and does multiple GvGs every week. MEAN has some of the most respected commanders and drivers on the server. We tend to run 15 or so on the battlefield every night, and usually have around 20-25 for reset. That is to say, if you join us, you’ll be finding fights alongside us every night.

MEAN also has a strong line up of roamers and many of our drivers or class leaders will organize roaming parties in off-hours when we’re not raiding. We have a special relationship with SNKY, a well-respected roaming group on Darkhaven that acts as our pick team in GvGs and during reset and raid nights.

MEAN also GvGs weekly and accepts all GvG requests (even non-standard formats such as 5v5s or 20v20s). We try and rotate as many members as possible into matches, even those who have not GvG’d before, to ensure everyone gets training.

Finally, we help members with equipment costs to gear up new characters once they’ve proven themselves a core part of the guild.

Expectations

WvW zerg-busting can be a high pressure environment, so we’re looking for people who are willing to work hard, but who can also deal with losses and listen to criticism on how to get better. If you have a kittenty attitude and are not willing to listen, this is not the place for you.

MEAN also has a no grey text rule in WvW, aside from the customary fight initiations such as /bow. We don’t want our members laugh spamming or any other sort of behaviour that reflects poorly on the guild.

That aside, we have a pretty irreverent attitude. We kitten around a lot. We play to win, but after we win, it’s time to pop our kodan tonics and have giant orgies.

MEAN is a very solid WvW guild on DH. I have had many fun times commanding against them, with a few victories, but more wipes than victories, lol. Ghost Face Killa and Tryden are awesome commanders from my experiences facing them. Good luck to all of you over there from your friends in [FIRE] (NSP, formerly SoR)!

I don’t really play GW2 anymore, but I want to say that [MEAN] is hands down the best gaming community I’ve been a part of. They are the most lovable bunch of immature trolls NA. They know how to get things done, but more importantly they know how to have fun while doing it.

So I joined MEAN less than two weeks ago after managing a guild for a year and a half. So far, this guild has been amazing. We’ve had some awesome fights. Tryden and Ghost are amazing drivers and there is an awesome crew supporting them in our fights.

If you’re wanting to get into the GvG scene and don’t want to bandwagon onto a guild that has it all already, then this is the guild to join. We’re getting better but definitely need a few more classes for some added variety.

Please do join this guild. I have been deprived of my lunch food for about 30 plus times (still counting) since I had joined this guild. The women here will dominate you with their sadistic methods in-game and in real life especially in your bed. After a few weeks, I realized how submissive I am.

10/10 will join again.
