Hey everyone,

I Am Vindictive is a well-established guild on Darkhaven that takes a quality over quantity approach to gaming. We have been on the server since launch and have been a gaming community for nine years. We’re seeking mature players (we are an 18+ guild) who are looking to be part of a community where they won’t be just another number. Vindictive does not recruit in map chat and we only open up recruitment windows periodically to keep activity strong.

Our goal since the start of season two is to become the best WvW guild on Darkhaven and we run a zerg-busting unit of 10-15 players every night to train and better ourselves to achieve that goal. We also have regular dungeon runs, either to raise money (CoF, CoE, HoTW, AC, etc.) or to advance our members through Fractals (we do everything from Fractal level 1 for newcomers up to 50). We have all guild missions unlocked and run them every Wednesday. Most of our players are in North America and are most active during the afternoon and evening hours. We use Teamspeak to coordinate our guild events. You don’t have to have a microphone to be part of the guild, but Teamspeak is mandatory for all dungeons and WvW events.

What kind of players are we looking for?

All of us have lives: jobs to go to, anniversaries to celebrate, kids to take to school. We can’t all be on 12 hours a day. Thus, we’re looking for players who view this game as a place to log in and have fun.

At the same time, we understand no one’s going to enjoy themselves when they’re wiping in a dungeon over and over again. So while a laid back attitude is great, you should also be prepared to be serious and work hard when that’s needed. This is especially true if you want to be part of our WvW zerg-busting unit.

What can we offer you?

A very social community with an irreverent and not overly-serious attitude. Check out our forums to gain a sense of who we are. You’ll find they’re very active and that the people in this guild are not only gamers who happen to be playing the same game, but also friends.

In addition to a friendly, active community, we are also quick to help out new members, whether it’s getting gear, improving builds or getting better at PvP. If you’re looking to achieve something in this game, we’ll help you do it.

Quality versus quantity

This isn’t a zerg guild and we’re not aiming to make it one. We’ve had massive guilds (400+ players) in previous games that we played like Warhammer Online, Aion and City of Heroes. But we find tighter-knit works better.

Our guild also doesn’t spam recruit in /m to find our members and all players are interviewed before they join. It helps us make sure we’re getting like-minded people into the community.

This is an amazing guild, to grow as a person and as a player. I have made so many connections in this guild, as well as met the love of my life. We are now happily married for over 2 years. I haven’t seen her yet, but I know one day I will.

Mean is a great guild guys. I’m not part of it myself, but have seen them in action in WvW and they’re a truly amazing group (not being touchy feely, seriously, they don’t give in and always try to do what’s best for Darkhaven). Consider them if this sounds like something you want to be a part of.

DR already drained guilds from most bronze servers… Chill a little willya?

I wouldn’t say that it’s low.. It’s simply strategic for servers to try and sway other guilds to them.. Especially with free transfers before seasons, although we’ll see whether or not that continues. Hell, we appreciate the recognition. But anyways, let’s try to keep this topic on track.

MEAN is recruiting on a small scale and we’re interested in helping players get geared up with proper group play builds to enhance and continue our guilds contribution to WvW/zerg busting as well as improving our organized small-medium scale roaming.

We mostly say that cus DR has already drained tons of guilds from other servers, practically destroyed ET, and Dh has already lost a ton. All those things considered, I think it’d be pretty low to try to recruit from dh to dr under those circumstances.

Henywayz what can I say about this guild. I’ve been with them for over a year and the best way I can put it is that it’s like a family. We’re always looking to help out each other where we can [builds, dungeons, wvw, etc]. We pick and tease each other a lot, but you won’t find a tighter knit bunch than these guys.

I always play in the buff since I joined [MEAN]

[MEAN] are an open, and welcoming community to all people, apart from the British.

I love this guild so much. Personally, I’ve been with the guild for a little more than 8 years now and have slept with about 50% of the guild members. Great bunch of people.

Sounds interesting. How is the action on Darkhaven? Seems like you guys are kinda pushing upwards now that devonas rest has gotten into t5.

Darkhaven has really embraced WvW, especially in the last several months. There is quite a bit of cooperation amongst guilds, and the guilds themselves are becoming more disciplined in fighting. For many of us, we play more for the fights than ppt, but that has worked out to be congruous more often than not.

Even when up against a losing battle (ppt-wise), the server does not get discouraged and burn out. Rather, the quality fights provide sustain so that there’s action throughout the week.

I’m rather proud of our server, and I’ve enjoyed my time with [MEAN] immensely.

MEAN is the epitome of sexiness. A force to be reckoned with in the battlefield and best of all a great group of people that are very fun to play with.

Friday night reset is just around the corner and if you are on Darkhaven and want to get a taste of how we run please message the leaders listed in the initial post. We are constantly growing and learning on how to become a more efficient and deadly zerg-busting unit.

When we are not a zerg-busting as a unit, we do small roaming groups to improve our individual skills. With us you are not just a number, but an integral player that has an important job, whether it may be in the frontline, backline, or part of a focus group.
We also have a private pvp arena, where we hone our individual skills and experiment on certain builds.

Currently we are looking for more active Guardians/Warriors/Elementalists/Necromancers that are willing to run the builds we need. As a guild we support each other in our growth, so if you show promise and dedication we are willing to pay for you to finish your build.

I may not be in DH, but as a member of FIRE on SoR, I have had my share of fights against MEAN. They have proven to be quite the resilient group. They can bring a good fight! If you are on DH, I would strongly consider checking them out! I would consider them to be top-tier for WvW-focused guilds on DH!

We fight along side MEAN almost everyday! They’re amazing people and easily the strongest zerg busting unit in bronze. MEAN are seen as strong and deadly, I guess you could call them the special forces of Darkhaven!
