There’s more!
We’re running an organised Guild Events’ system:

  • we organise Static Events (eg. daily Mining Runs, guild missions, WvW rush every reset, as well as more and less hardcore WvW raids) on fixed evenings every week, as well as Dynamic Events, which are proposed every now and then with a heads-up, so that you’ll be always aware of an upcoming guild grouping;
  • each and every member is encouraged to put forth their event, the way they want it, to run it when they want it;
  • we have lots of ad hoc outings, organised already in-game;
  • we’re very liberal about our Guild Events – everyone may join them, but no one is forced to!

We’ve also got a Guild YouTube Channel:

.
.
Our expectations:

  • be communicative, with a communicative level of English – read the chat when in a party, be responsive when asked, English understandable enough not to be ambiguous or hard to understand;
  • we don’t care about your experience with the game or ‘player skill’ as long as you’re willing to learn and not whine about every obstacle on your way – we all were at the beginning some time ago, but we’ve learnt our lessons and can pass it on, so make use of our experience;
  • be a nice, non-drama person – everyone can have a bad day and be moody or have an oversensitive moment, but don’t make it a norm;
  • respect your guildies, server-mates and enemies alike, and obey the chain of command when necessary (tighter WvW raids, trainings, more complex PvE events);
  • represent us – we’re fine with multiguilding and playing dungeons cross-server as long as you actually represent us often enough to make being in the guild sensible;
  • frequently use the guild forums, understanding that they serve as a board of communication with each and every guildie – it’s not only the place to check for scheduled guild events, but also to get accustomed with how we manage our guild missions or what’s required for WvW raids;
  • don’t be a kitten in the kitten for others – we’ll never force you to do something, so never force others into your parties if they don’t feel like it.

Hello everyone, Midnight Mayhem is still recruiting!
First of all, let me say that MM is aware that a number of new MMOs is coming out/has been launched; but we have no interest whatsoever to move from GW2.
Our guildies, however, are incentivized to make unofficials “Midnight Mayhem” groups/guilds in these games to keep in touch with their friends in the guild. We have an unofficial MM group in pretty much all the major games that offer such feature, and also a steam group.

Today we want to show you a couple of new shinies that the guild started using.
1)The first shiny is our new tumblr page, that is already getting filled with news and info about our adventures.
With tumblr, Midnight Mayhem is now active in 3 major social networks. Our oldest, and most succesful, social network page is without a doubt Facebook; that it has reached 100+ likes! This page has been recently revamped and it’s now 1 year old.

While we use the social networks to deepen our guild bonds, our main method of communication and interaction is our forum.
Every guildie has to pass through our forum in order to join, and that’s one of MM peculiarities. While other guilds rarely use the forum or prefer not to use it at all; Midnight Mayhem’s uses it’s functionalities to the fullest to bring our guildies together and at the same time keep a “family” atmosphere, even though our roster is composed by ~400 active guildies.
Our new forum has been launched in November 2013 but has already reached almost 14k posts in such a short time.
Of course all our guildies have an account; but they have no obligation to make new posts, apart from the application.

2)The second shiny MM wants to show you today is the Guesting System. You might be familiar with GW2 guesting; but this has nothing to do with it :p.
Why did we make this system?
The guesting system is meant to be a bridge connecting everyone outside of MM to our guildies. Not only to show how our guild works; but also to expand our community with new people and their experiences, without having the obligation to join our guild. After receiving the “Guest” rank you’ll be able to access a variety of forums and join discussions or start new ones.
Everyone can request the guest rank, and it’s not binding in any way. Should you decide to join, you can always apply for guild membership later.
You can find all the info you need in this board.

If you want to join today an active and stable guild-community apply at http://www.midnight-mayhem.net !

Time for another status update from Midnight Mayhem.

We’re still based on Gunnar’s Hold, open for newcomers, single players and small guild merges, retaining our laidback, PvX mentality.

WvW
Our guild currently has several different raid leaders who operate 5 prime time raids a week . We’ve come a long way and we can hold our heads highwhen facing other guild groups. We still have not forgotten our raiding roots, which emphasize the fun bonding aspects of raiding.

The Suicide Squad takes part in our fight focused raids who test their metal against blobs and skilled opponents. Safety not guaranteed, but (if you come with the right attitude) fun is. We continue to offer casual raids outside of prime time.

We open our prime time raids to guild member of all classes, but our raid composition would benefit greatly from the addition of more heavies. We expect our raiders to bring the right gear, builds and attitudes for raiding. So long as you are willing to meet to commit to the guidelines set by the raid leaders, we always have room for one more.

Our roamers still follow the wolf pack mentality, and tend to only hunt with the people they trust. New roamers are always welcome to the guild, but there will be no formal introduction to the group. It will be up to them to make their own alliances in this shadowy world of WvW (as it should be).

Many of our guildies also enjoy the Edge of the Mist map from as early as our participation in the beta test. Sometimes they go there for the badges, sometimes they go to level up an wvw alt, and sometimes they go with their 80s to sow chaos and destruction into the enemy zerg. Most of our WvW guildies also generally like to support (and follow) any brave soul willing to tag up as part of the zerg.

PvP
Tpvp and Soloq remain the preferred choices of pvp for most of our PvP players. Generally we play as casual groups (with use of teamspeak whenever possible), with no rigid restrictions on who joins. We have good nights and bad nights, but generally we always have fun.

We welcome pvp players of any skill level, but we’re particularly interested in recruiting players who can provide the necessary leadership to bring us to the next level in tPvP play so long as they understand our “fun first” approach to the game.

MM also intends to try to promote and organize a few pvp tournaments for the greater gw2 community. Here’s a teaser from something in the works now.

PvE
PvE remains the primary interest for the majority of MM members new to the game. For more challenging content, we still have guild only groups doing high level fractals and Arah. We have mastered the big world bosses and still occasionally kill them. We also very actively consume any of the new living story content as it arrives.

There are always old hands in the guild willing to help new members learn the ropes of challenging PvE content. Most of our guild chat organized dungeon runs focus on the quick paths and done at a brisk (zerker gear prefered) but friendly pace. Our guildies also happily help others on less popular paths for dungeon master title.

PvX
Probably the most common thread you’ll notice about MM is in addition to our guild as a whole doing pretty much everything the game has to offer, many of our players having the same approach as well.

You don’t have to do everything the game has to offer as a member of MM. But as a member of MM you certainly can.

In general:
We have enough influence (pun intended) to give our guildies access to all of the perks of belonging to a large guild. We run the +5 supply buff, +15% Karma and the +10% Magic Find buff 24/7. Complete guild missions take place once a week (on Sundays evenings).

If you would like to join the guild, please register and apply at our forum. You can still find it at:
