Guild Wars 2

Hello all, I just wanted to express my point of view about a very serious matter.

I think one of the best aspects of this game is its comunity.
I am new to this game and I enjoy playing like everyone else does. I was welcome to the guild LUCK around month ago.

I always thought a Guild is meant to group people so that they help eachother. In that sense the Guild Legendary plumers has some great flaws. I have to say there are some really nice people in the Guild, fun and talkative, but there are also other people who are very rude.

I had 2 very bad experiences in this guild that I want to share with whoever is reading, in case they are thinking about joining a Guild like this one.

1- Citadel of flame dungeon: I recall going into this dungeon with some newly met guild buddies, I told them I was new to the game. even so, they decided to do a Speed Run, so basically, I had no idea what was going on, what were we supposed to do, what were we doing. I voiced my mind, saying that it was very unconfortable, that didnt detour them from the course of course and they kept going. That ruins the whole game experience, I know it must be boring for some people to have to endure the burden of a new player, but also try to remember what being a new pleyer was for you.

2- We went to do a Guild puzzle, and again, the same situation happened, I said in Guild chat that it was my first time doing that puzzle, I asked if someone would be so kind to explain what were we suposed to do. They said they didnt have time to write on chat to explain anything. I started to go with the flow, fell and died at some point, then got left behind. I voiced my mind, saying that I didnt think a Guild was a place to have that sort of experienced and I mentioned the unpleasent episode of Citadel of Flame, I was not disrespectful at any time.
I didnt get a warning, or anything. As I was typing, I got kicked out of the guild. An office with the name of Inconspicuous Fenr said that I should go enjoy myself somehwere else, that my attitude (aparently saying I needed help and I didnt aprove they way things were being done towards new players) was not welcome.

I just wanted to say, Dont forget that behind that avatar, there is a real person, and they deserve respect and consideration, this is a social game also, dont be rude.

AND, IF you are a new player, DONT join mystic plumbers.

I’ve been in this guild for some time, playing 4+ hours each day at a minimum and I have never witnessed or heard anyone being treated that way. From my gaming experience with GW2, it took me 6 to 8 months to even think about a dungeon or anything requiring structure. There will always be that moment of noobness in anything you persue, we all get that butt heart feeling, and learn. You must live in a box or a bubble. Ever had a new job and people treat you like the “new guy”. You do something wrong and your colleagues or coworkers let you know. But as far as GW2 goes, play however makes you happy. But when a group encourages using TS3 (voice chat, only able to hear is required) for those not sure what is going on in structured events, and hasn’t done so after a month has no right to defame our guild. Nobody forced you to do either events, and they are not required. I have never witnessed anyone being “flushed” for chosing to roll solo, cause thats how i roll. For some reason though, I have a feeling you became verbally abusive or disrespectful, which in that case……Bye Felicia!

I am sorry if the post bothered you, and I am sure some people could have a good time in that Guild, however, talking about something without being present is just making asumptions.

As I recall, the only bad part was when I said “this event stinks, I am out“. I dont recall using profanity nor being disrespectful.

I felt I got bullied, flushing someone out of a Guild like that is NOT right.

And to prove my point, here are some screenshots of what happened a few minutes ago. You will see I had the intention to chat about the issue, and its your Guild mates who dont want to discuss about it like adults and even threat me for making this post.

Keeping this up so that no new players have a bad experience.
