From “Still looking for the [Orb]”. We are a small chapter of a bigger community.

Orb is a PvE focused guild, working on Raids, and guild hall enhancement!

As of right now, we are looking for anyone 18+ to join our ranks! We are a talkative bunch, and we love it when our members converse in TeamSpeak! We are currently recruiting any and all classes!

While we do not have a set raid calendar, we are currently looking at weekends, and one of the weekdays.

Some quick background on the history of Orb:
Orb was created not long after launch, after the disbanding of one of the big WvW alliances. A bunch of friends decided they had enough; and moved to Ferguson’s Crossing to start their own guild, away from the drama. Orb was active for about a year and a half focusing almost solely on WvW, and eventually we, like most; got tired and took a leave of absence. After regaining an interest in the game and the PvE side of things, we are here, looking for more members to join our ranks.

Note: while we are primarily a PvE focused guild, we do adventure into sPvP, and WvW from time to time.

F.A.Q

Will I have to be a specific class?
No, we may ask you to change up some utility skills to help with a fight (ie adding boon strip etc) but we will never force you to play in a style you are uncomfortable with or a class you are uncomfortable with.

Why have an age restriction?
We understand the “youth” of today is already corrupted but we prefer not to be the ones corrupting it. Younger users tend to have more free time to play and get antsy when older “adultier” people can’t be on at the drop of a hat.

Are you hardocre??!!!!!!!!!?
While we don’t game to live we definitely live to game (when we can). Most Orb members are in college or out in the workforce some even have gasp little gamers (aka children) of their own. When we get game time we like to fill it with as much content as possible while reaping the biggest rewards. Your time is important to you like our time is important to us.

I don’t like VoIP/TS is that a problem?
Kinda, we are a VERY social guild and encourage members to interact. We have found that people who play together (and create bonds) stay together. Not using VoIP/TS will not result in an auto /kick; but you will definitely miss out on antics and tomfoolery that only comes from being on coms.
However, for higher tiered fractal runs and Raids TS will be mandatory for audible callouts (you just have to listen you don’t have to talk)

If users have limited game time how do you plan to raid?
We are using a style of planning called communication…maybe you’ve heard of it?? :P

We are shooting for 2 static days and one “swing day”. Some raid groups may have static and swing members. Logistics is not something we are new to, so let us worry about the planning you worry about the playing.
