Guild Wars 2

Hi! I’m Amiron, and I play Tolgwyn, the sylvari revenant on server Tarnished Coast. I’m recently returning to GW2 after a hiatus and I’m looking to join a social guild as I level my new revenant. I’m looking for a guild that is:

*18+/Mature. I’m 22, and I want to play in a mature environment.
*Social/friendly environment that is accepting of all individuals, regardless of lifestyles.
*Focuses on playing during the late-evenings and nights. (EST: 10pm onwards)
*Raids semi-casually. (Whether that be dedicated raid nights or fluctuating based on schedules)
*Interested in fractals, casual or otherwise.
*Does not require me to stay tagged in guild 100% of the time.

To explain further what I mean by semi-casual; I’m planning on gearing up my revenant using Brazil’s guide for the Ventari Support Herald, and filling a support role. I understand it’s not “meta”, but it looks fun and effective, and I plan to play it seriously with an intent to master that role. If your guild isn’t interested in accepting anything besides meta builds, then I probably won’t be a good fit for you.

I am unfamiliar with most the raids, but as I level my revenant, I plan to research and learn the fights through videos and guides. I am very interested in this pve side of GW2 that I never truly got into. (Downed Spirit Vale Guardian with an old guild, but never progressed further as people lost interest in the game.)

And on the topic of tagging 100% of the time; I’m also a role-player, so I will seek to join other guilds that RP and will tag up to RP with them. I have no issues representing the guild outside of RP all of the time, but if I can’t join other guilds for this niche purpose, then I will not be a good fit for yours. PvE will come first, so RP will not conflict with raid/fractal schedules.

Hey there! I’m SconeOfDoom, the recruitment officer for Project Knighthood. We are a PvE focused guild that does any and every form of PvE content. We have a weekly schedule for mapping, dungeons, fractals, guild missions, and a night or two devoted to requests for content that full members can make, like LS2 full achievement runs for example.

While we don’t have an age requirement, our youngest member (that I know of) is a senior in high school, while our oldest members have kids who got them into the game! Our average age is probably in our 20s as a guild. As such, while we do joke around, I like to think that we also maintain a fairly mature environment.

We are active most weeknights, and most events start at 8 CST (or 9 EST), so a bit earlier then what you may be looking for, but outside of guild missions or mapping, events tend to go on for a couple of hours, and we also have people always looking for random excursions for fractals or dungeons.

As far as gearing goes, we only require certain builds for raids. Anything else, you can run whatever you please! As I just mentioned, we do offer raids as well, but since we as a guild have only cleared up to Sab, we do require mostly meta builds so that we don’t hamper ourselves.

For repping, we don’t require repping outside of content you do with us like guild missions or mapping, but even while raiding with us we wouldn’t require repping since everyone would know where you’re from anyways.

Hello, SconeOfDoom! Thanks for the reply. After taking some time to read your post and look around the website, I think your guild is a close candidate to what I’m looking for. A little disappointed to hear that meta builds are an absolute requirement for the guild raids, but understandable, as they are meta for a reason. The reason I’m so stingy on this issue is because I’m not a huge fan of the Revenant dps play-style, and I’m looking to fill a role that is both different than what I’m used to and more interesting than the auto-attack spam that is sword gameplay.

That isn’t particularly a deal-breaker, however, because it seems like the Knights check practically every other box on my list (I can respect your view on age; it’s completely reasonable.) I definitely have my eye on your guild, and I’ll have a more concrete response after I review my options.

No problem! Feel free to take a couple of days to think it over. Our recruitment period is going to close early on the 9th so that we can focus on the squires and members we do have and make sure that the new squires feel especially welcome. That being said, since I reached out to you, if you haven’t decided by then and want to join us a bit after, I’ll make an exception- after all, I was the exception as a 4th squire when we were only taking 3 at a time.

But again, best of luck finding the right guild for you! As a recruitment officer, I’d rather you join a guild that helps you stick with the game over joining us if we can’t do that for you.

Xtraordinary Slackers – multi-game guild (SWTOR), newer in GW2; smaller, but growing. We do not require 100% rep we are slackers afterall :P We aim for inclusive, social, casual/semi-casual/dedicated (to slack) play. We are a guild building in GW2, but are solid in SWTOR; but this means things are in flux in GW2 and small but not a ghost town at all, but we also will never be a 150 person guild and dont want to be.

We tend to play later in evenings, west coast peeps but Aussies and also International peeps in guild. Right now we have 1 weekly set time for missions/more and currently do NOT raid/fractals officially – we plan to eventually get into light Fractals and casual Raids, that is to say, majority of peeps would be learning them/not forcing meta builds. We will never be a hardcore raiding/guild.

RP is fine. We have royal ranks (ex: Peasant Slacker are recruits, King Slacker is GM aka ME! Vice GM is my son the Prince (not in RL and have had a Slacker Royal Family story in SWTOR before; RPing, and lightly very raunchy BUT maturely RP sometimes on forms, TS, etc. Not full on but tongue-in-cheek which is us, silly lot.
