Guild Wars 2

Hello! I’ve always found GW2 to be interesting, but I’ve never really played it. I’ve played WoW for something like 10 years now, and it recently dawned on me that a lot of the things I enjoy in WoW are things that are really big in GW2 (Crafting, exploration, gold making, etc.). While I have always loved PvE, I’ve found myself in recent years enjoying the things mentioned previously more than raiding all the time, so I think GW2 is a good game for me. I bought HoT and PoF, so I’m about to boost a character, and I thought I’d reach out and look for a guild as well because we all know MMOs are more fun with friends and guilds! Well, I don’t have any friends who play, so the remaining option is to find a guild!

A Little About Me:

I’m 24 years old, and, like I said before, I’ve been playing WoW for about 10 years now. I’ve dabbled in pretty much every MMO that has come out since then, but I’ve never really stuck with one. I think the time has finally come, though, for me to move on from WoW and play something that I think will be truly enjoyable, and that’s why I’ve chosen GW2. I’ve been trying to read a lot about everything there is to do in GW2, but it seems there’s a lot, so I’ll figure it out with time. I want to find a guild, though, I know that much.

What I’m Looking For:

For the time being, a more casual/new player friendly guild is probably best for me. While I’ve been a hardcore raider in WoW for many years, I think a more casual environment in GW2 is more suiting to my needs currently. I will likely spend most of my time exploring the PvE content the game has to offer, but I do plan on dabbling in some PvP as well. For those who are curious because of WvW, I am currently on Fort Aspenwood.

We are a stable and thriving PvX/WvW guild, currently at about 170 players. As we require 100% representation, our guild is actively engaged and willing to help each other out with anything and everything. We can offer all the amenities of a PvE guild, but can also provide you with a hardcore WvW raiding experience, running an average of 15-20 during WvW raids.

Still, our PvE and PvP experience should be enough to keep you engaged. We devote a single night a week to Guild Missions, PvP throughout the week, and have a fully upgraded guild hall, Teamspeak Channel, fully stocked website and sub-forum on the Gate of Madness Server Website.

Our guild has now accumulated some of the finest players in Gate of Madness – former leaders, officers, drivers and WvW’ers who have played and enjoyed the game for years.

Maybe my little home may be suitable for you. We’re called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a small, casual/semi-casual yet social, 18+, PvE, family on Tarnished Coast (though as long as you’re on a NA server, it doesn’t matter too much unless you plan to WvsW heavily). Our peak time tends to be in the mid-late evening EST, though we have a few others from various time zones. We also love helping out our newer players with whatever they may need.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.
We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you’ll be away, and all is well.

We do not demand 100% representation.
It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family.
We are very LGBTQ friendly and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. toward anyone regardless of nationality, race, religious beliefs, gender identity or sexuality. Anyone violating that policy is subject to immediate removal, no questions asked.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it’s dungeons/Fractals, builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we’ll have fun regardless.

We also have a Discord, but use of the voice chat is on a purely optional basis.
